Hot Days

We lucked out last week and it wasn't so hot here. Today it was very hot though! Fortunately we'll cool down into the 80s tomorrow.

I laid in the sun in the big window earlier in the day. Momma laughed at me rolling in the sun and took some photos which she needs to get into the computer. Then later on, I've been stretching and stretching and lying around where it's cool. I'm glad they have a cooler in one room where it isn't so hot!

Late Weekend Wrapup

Okay, so it's a late weekend wrap up. Momma and the Almost Dad had a garage sale and they finally sold his old kitchen table set! Well, they gave it away finally. It was a nice table and chairs and quite sturdy. They tried to give it away several times this past year and finally someone came and got it! YEAH. Now it's not in the garage and Momma can fit her car in there. She is quite happy.

Oh and the Almost Dad is getting her a camera for her wedding gift. He choose the Canon XT over the Nikon D40 because the Cannon XT had a higher pixel resolution. Just think--maybe they will take some good photos of me?!

Georgia's Steps

Here is a photo of Georgia's steps that we got about a week ago. All those clothes are things that Momma is putting out in this weekends garage sale. I don't know why they want to sell clothes and stuff and the garage. Where will they park?

Anyway we Radcliffe and friends asked about our steps and we got them from Foster Smith. They go up about 30 inches high with those six steps. They are basically just styrofoam under there. They come in several heights and this was the tallest. The bed is quite high!

The steps are a little narrow, front to back for Georgia to get up and down real easily but she does it okay. Momma covered it with catnip so we would all like it right away. I think they were just about $99 for this set, which wasn't a huge amount. When Momma searched for pet furniture she got lots of different steps and some were very fancy. She choose this because it was the cheapest and she didn't know if Georgia would use it.

A hole in One!

The Almost Dad came home from golfing the other day and said he got a hole in one! He was playing a small par three course but he was still quite proud of himself. Many of the people he golfs with who have been golfing longer and are generally better golfers than he is have never had one.

I am furry impressed. See I like to help him practice his putting inside. I get between where he is and the hole so it's easier to catch the golf balls he hits. I'm sure I'm the whole reason he got that hole in one, aren't you?

Weekend Wrap Up

Momma went to see the Mariner's play the Reds. The Almost Dad is a big fan of the Reds 'cause I guess he was from their city. I kind of prefer Green myself, but I am told they aren't a team or anything. I am not sure what the Mariner's did. I guess they lost badly on Friday. Momma and the Almost Dad didn't go on Saturday and then they went again today and the Reds lost. Momma says the Reds lost badly on Saturday but today was a good game.

A lady there had a really nice camera--a nikon D80 and Momma wants one. She says it does everything! Actually the lady talked to Momma about the stuff she wants and a D40 would work for her. It does almost everything too I guess.

I enjoyed my Secret Paw meals a lot when Georgia wasn't eating. In fact, I was almost a piggy and pushed her away once! Momma wasn't happy with me.

Secret Paw!

YEAH! We got our secret paw Tuesday night! YEAH. Momma was too tired to post about it then so we didn't get to--even though Cheysuli had a short post on her blog.

It came from Beezer. It was furry cool. Beezer put in a nice red feather boa for Chey because seh likes feathers. And then I got a neat catnip package. We both got food from Whiskas, but mostly Momma is letting Georgia get that as treats and we have to wait. It's okay as I'm a big fan of crunchies myself.

We want to say a big thank you though! I like the feathers too even if they are for Chey!

Odds and Ends

Georgia is liking her new stairs. It took her a few days of Momma watching her and sort of putting her hand on her to get to her go up and down her new stairs but now she uses them regularly. Momma is happy about that. They are very lightweight. They are styrofoam under some nice thick lambswool type cloth over the top--that makes them more steady for us cats.

We are furry happy about that.

Also, Momma is finding she doesn't have as much time to blog. She is thinking that perhaps she will make me share a blog with Cheysuli! NO! We haven't decided for sure but I hopes I don't have to. Chey talks A LOT.

Weekend Wrapup

Nasty blogger! I had a post all ready and then
it wouldn't let me upload my photo and then it wouldn't let me save as a draft so I have to start all over! Sigh.

I didn't have much to say. It was furry rainy around here so I slept. Momma had a wakeful night last night. Georgia vomited all over the bed and so she had to redo the bedding. I got to be petted in the middle of the night.

Then the neighbors were playing their music really loud at 3 AM (literally) and so I got to be petted when she got up because she couldn't sleep listening to that! Unfortunately we weren't sure which neighbors so we couldn't ask them to turn it down. All the lights were on over there--so maybe they were all trying to figure out who was noisy?

I have two news items. First, Ayla has squamous cell carcinoma in her mouth so that's a bad thing. She is taking the news as well as anyone can take such news. But you might want to go say hello and send her some purrs.

Second Skeezix has announced the debate. He is taking question nominations for the presidential debate--go over there and tell him what you want to know about Chey, Cato and Skittles!

Sparklie Balls!

YEAH! I was furry excited. Momma came home and there was a package on the doorstep. It wasn't the stairs for Georgia cause it was way to small. As she looked closer, she could see if was from Junior. Well at first we thought he was the fastest Secret Paw EVER but then we opened it and the card was for participating in his contest.

We got TONS of sparkle balls! I have to go kick some around because Momma isn't hovering with the camera. I have to avoid them when she has that! HE HE. Chey too. Chey had to smell all of them. I think she likes the gold one. I liked the green ones. I think green goes well with my eyes.

Thank you Thank you Thank you Junior! I was ever so excited to get something in the mail! YEAH!

Weekend Wrap Up

Well, the dogs are gone. It's time to celebrate. Momma also found out that Georgia really likes to nap on the bed, so she ordered some kitty steps. They just got a new nightstand andthe stairs should go high enough with the nightstand one more step and then a step up and Georgia will be able to be on the bed much easier than she get up there now.

I did not get to go outside today but we have yard photos too! YEAH! The Almost Dad got them all uploaded. Of course, when they got new nightstands they had some old stuff to list on Craigslist and so he HAD to do the photos. It wasn't just for me and Cheysuli.

Still, I am furry happy to have more photos. Lots of these were of me! YEAH! I can show off for my handsome Ping too!

Momma says I'm Brave!

I am so excited. Momma told me I was a brave kitty. See her friend who has two chihuahuas came to visit. Anyway, I ran and hid in the guest room and for the afternoon Momma had that area blocked off. Later on, she knew Georgia liked to hide in there so she made sure Georgia was out and closed the door, because I usually hide under her dresser. So later on that night, the two dogs and the person I don't know so well came in to go to sleep.

Momma went looking for me but couldn't find me. Then she went to guest room and saw me hiding in a corner under the bed. So they took the dogs out and Momma grabbed me. She expected that I would be shaking and run and hide, but as soon as the dogs were back in their room, I pranced around the house looking for my crunchie food.

Momma said I was far braver than she thought.

Georgia was also quite brave and has discovered she can get up on the bed. Momma is a little worried because she's not sure how Georgia will get down but that's another story. Last night she lifted her up and put her on the floor when she wanted down. We'll see how she does.

Dona Nobis Pacem

Momma watched Ghandi last night. It seemed a fitting movie the day before Dona Nobis Pacem. As he said, he wasn't a pacifist, but an activist who was nonviolent. He didn't stand by and watch wrongs. He acted on what he thought was right, without resorting to causing pain for others.

This is the noblest calling. History will remember us all not only for what we do, but for what we don't do. In these times of turmoil, how will history remember you?

Weekend Wrap Up

Momma took lots of photos of all of us and now I just need to get her to get them on the computer so we can show them off. Georgia walked all over the yard. It was quite warm this weekend and Georgia liked it.

In my news, I was in the window and I caught a fly and ate it in front of Momma. She thought it was gross. She wasn't happy that I didn't catch the really really big spider in the bedroom. The Almost Dad had to kill it for her. She screamed and stood on the bed, it was so big. I bet it was a good meal.

After I caught the fly, I threw up on the carpet.

Weekend Wanderings

Oh I did not get to go out on my harness but I did get to smell the outside porch. Mostly I stayed in the window and watched Momma and the Almost Dad as they worked outside. It is getting quite nice.

There was a big flying bug that was outside the window and I stood at the window to try and catch it. If Momma wasn't so lazy, she said she'd have gone outside and taken a lovely photo of my nice furry belly as I stood up on my hind legs. I do this a lot against the walls, because that's where the invisible bugs are. Sometimes, like the other day, they are even VISIBLE bugs!

No, that's not our yard, but Momma loves tulips so she would love it to be our yard!

Oh Sunny Day!

It was a furry nice day today. The sun was out and it was warm. Momma was gone ALL day but that's okay. We all laid in our favorite sunny spots. Georgia looked out the front window a lot.

Momma should be home at least part of the day tomorrow and it's supposed to be nice. I hope I can convince her to go out and take photos of all the work they have done in the yard. Maybe she will find me my harness and I can go outside too. That would be furry fun. She knows that things scare me and I would quickly run off and hide if I got too scared so she has to put me in a harness to see where I want to go.

Oh I am looking forward to tomorrow! Maybe I'll get to see the outside of the eves where I hear the birdies who have built a little nest!

Happy Memorial Day to all the kitties here in the US. I am happy that Momma will be around more. I like that. She will have to cram her work into just a couple of days this week but it means I get more attention time.

Momma and I were proud of Georgia. Last night she stood up on Momma's lap and swatted Chey for no good reason and made her leave. I laughed. Chey was not a happy cat. I don't care.

Momma says she can't recall where this shot was taken because it's at such an odd angle for her to see me! She said she must have been looking almost straight down when she tried to take this photo. She said, as usual, I looked away. I am very shy about photos!

Snoozing and Wondering

So I slept much of the day yesterday. I had a wonderful dream. I dreamed that Momma paid as much attention to my blog as she does to Cheysuli's!

Then I dreamed that I got a huge dish of kitty crunchies and that's all we ate and Chey hated it! He he. Cheysuli doesn't like her crunchies but I love them.

Then I dreamed that Georgia was all better and I could chase her and not get in trouble. I dreamed that she was able to bite me again and toss me over on my side. Well, okay so she really does still bite me sometimes, but it's because I like it.

I dreamed that I got to chase lots of golf balls as the Almost Dad practiced his putting indoors again.

I also dreamed about my handsome Ping and we went walking on a nice safe sandbox!

Bugs

Oh, Momma and the Almost Dad keep seeing trailers for a movie called Bugs. The Almost Dad thinks it looks creepy and doesn't want to see it.

Here's what I think. He knows that it's true cause it looks like it's about invisible bugs. He knows I can see invisible bugs and he doesn't want to know what those invisible bugs would do if I weren't around to protect him.

Well I am out of the closet. You see, Cheysuli has been in more troulbe this weekend because she has been hollering at Momma when it's time to get up. Fortunately that means Momma thinks I am furry sweet! I am glad

We've been working in the yard in between the rain yesterday. I had to sit in the window and supervise. I think it will look nice if they ever get done. They have a huge pile of something called "bark dust". The Almost Dad said it was 15 yards. I don't know why they needed 15 yeards of bark when we only have one yard. Also why would they want bark instead of meow?

It's perplexing!

Still In Trouble

Momma gotted mad at me again. I only mewed once (very loudly and piercingly) and I was meowing at the WALL and not at her. But she got up and picked me up by the scruff of the neck and said "NO NO NO!" very loudly in my face. Then she set me down.

I still really needed to yell at the wall but I didn't because I knew I'd REALLY be in trouble then. So I sat quietly and looked at her while she tried to go back to sleep.

I must go hide.

Uh Oh

Momma is mad at all of us. We woke her up half an hour before the alarm for no good reason. Well, actually I woke her up. Cheysuli kept her awake. Then as she got up and tried to read her own blogs, Cheysuli and I kept walking in front ofher and meowing so that she couldn't. She's mad at all of us this morning because when she yelled at us, then Georgia went running and she felt bad.

She says Cheysuli and I are furry naughty today.

Weekend Update

I live in a haunted house. Yes. It is haunted.

Sometimes for no reason the Almost Dad's car alarm goes off. His car is in the garage and no one is in there but the alarm goes off now and then.

Also the Almost Dad's computer comes on for no reason. Momma turned it off three times one day and it kept coming back on. She couldn't figure out what she was doing wrong that it would come back on. Now sometimes it is just on in the morning.

I think we have a ghost. I am not sure if it's a scary ghost or not. It doesn't seem to want to mess with me or Chey or Georgia so that's good.

Oh, the music is starting and everyone is milling around. Most people are finding places to stand and watch and sit and watch.

Oh my! Is that the Queen of England?! I can't believe it.

I hope Latte is feeling better.

I wonder what the cake is like? I can't wait to taste it. Cheysuli wouldn't let me. She wanted it to be a surprise. And I worked my fingers to the bone for her!

Oh there's Captain Jack Sparrow--no Johnny Depp but he's dressed up like him! Oh I can't wait to ride Pirates of the Carribbean with him. Where is Derby? Derby needs to walk Chey down the aisle and escort her to the site. Oh where is he? Oh there he is, over with Chase who is looking far too calm.

I can't wait.

The Day Before

Oh my! We have a long day today. First we are going out for a big girls only breakfast, me and Kaze and Daisy and Tara and Belle and Snap. We're mostly having tuna and chicken and some nip laced tea but Snap prefers hay and mash, so she'll get that.

Then we are going to each have a massage and a body wrap. I'm having the silky cleanser wrap so that my furs will stand out and be lovely. Cheysuli is having a thickening wrap so that her furs will have more body than they usually do. You know, she has such short furs. I'm not sure what Kaze and Daisy and Tara are having. Snap is only getting the massage and new shoes. I guess getting new fancy shoes when you are a horse is a BIG deal. I'm glad I don't have to wear shoes!

Anyway after that we will all have a light lunch of ham and chicken. Then we will go out and go dancing! I can't wait. There's a cute little club that we're going to and that should be fun. We're going to keep Cheysuli up quite late tonight! Of course she has to get up early on Saturday to be ready for the wedding! HE HE.

Busy Weekend

Kaze and I are going to busy helping Chey address invitations. I mean there are over 10,000 of them. We knew a few people wouldn't come at all.

Anyway I have been resting up my toes because I bet they'll be tired.

Momma moved a bunch of dirt around today. It looks like a big litter box in the front yard and I want to go play in it. They are moving the dirt around so they can plant a lot of new plants and stuff. Georgia is quite looking forward to seeing what they plant. She is quite the outdoor expert. Of course, she hasn't been out much. She hasn't really wanted to go out much lately. Maybe if it gets nice like they say it will on Sunday she'll want to wander out while they are working.

Momma won't let Chey make Georgia work on the invitations. So Kaze and I get the brunt of the work. At least Kaze is fun.

The other day it was actually sunny. We were so suprised because it hadn't been for so long. Georgia and I were sitting in our neat window lookinbg out at the neighborhood to see what was going on!

Tabby Tuesday

It's tabby Tuesday but there are no Tabby photos today because the new photos are on the Almost Dad's computer and not Momma's. Momma says that by the end of the year she will have Imac that runs both Windows and Mac stuff and she can just plugin the software that the Almost Dad uses for uploading the photos from the camera and then she will have my photos directly. All the cat pictures will be here! YEAH! Then I won't have to beg her to get on the other 'puter and do photos for me.

I attacked a spider the other night. Momma is furry scared of spiders and so she was happy that I like to hunt them down and kill them.

Last night I attacked Cheysuli because she pounced on me for no reason. I was watching tv from my perch on the stairs and Chey just jumped on me and attacked. Later on, I attacked her and chased her up the stairs. That will show her!

Weekend Wrapup

I had very nice weekend. We had sun here and I got to sleep in the patch of it. I loved it.

Everyone believes that Chey was the one who hacked up the vomit that the Amost Dad stepped in, so I am mostly off the hook.

Momma was so happy on Sunday afternoon because she was petting Georgia and Georgia decided to attack a fabric belt that was hanging off a hanger! Georgia played with it for awhile and rolled on her back grabbing it and everything. Georgia hasn't played in a long time. Momma says it seems like Georgia sleeps deeper and deeper now and often worries that she is slipping away so we are glad that even if she is, that she is a happy cat.

I am mostly a happy cat. The sun made me furry happy!

Weekend Wrap Up

Well Georgia had good day yesterday. We had catnip cake for Momma and I liked it. Momma didn't. Momma doesn't look any older than she did on Friday, so that's a good thing.

Chey had her wedding shower. It was a lovely luncheon at the Space Needle. Thanks to everyone who could attend. We had some lovely big names there too. Fortunately Kukka Maria and Oprah weren't there at the same time. In spite of the rain, the Space Needle had a wonderful view and we got to see lots of things as it revolved. Fortunately no one got dizzy.

Anyway, I am quite pleased with what I have accomplished. Momma isn't happy with the way my dress fits but I'm not sure what we are to do about it. We still don't have anything for Georgia to wear. She just looks silly in the Mother of the Bride dresses but she looks almost as silly in a bridesmaid dress too. It's tough to figure out what to put her in.

Well, I'm off to take a puff nap. It's still raining here but I can sleep under the blankets to keep warm too!

Momma is old today! Happy Purrfday to you Momma!

I let her sleep but Georgia woke her up 'cause I had her (Georgia) backed into a corner. So Momma got up and fed us--even Chey, who usually has to wait until lunch to share some food with Georgia cause Chey is too fat. She'll never get into her wedding dress.

Anyway I am off to make a catnip cake--I hope.

Snoozing

Here I am snoozing, just like last night. I was at the foot of the bed with Momma and the Almost Dad came to bed and started trying to move me with his feet thingys that go under the blankets. I attecked him good! I sunk my teeth into the blankets and grabbed the large vishus shapes with my paws. I did my best to kill them but he is bigger than I and he won.

So I left. I ran into Cheysuli and she called me Puffalump. You know I HATE that name! I am so mad at her. I think I will go and hide and try and forget that she exists and dream of handsome Ping!

Wednesday Downtime

Oh we got up to blog and see our friends this morning and our cable was down. I was furry mad. I wanted to tell everyone that Cheysuli had been nominated at Bloggers Choice Awards. Evil Wicked Geese!

There are lots of geese around here. The other morning they woke up Momma. They were honking and honking. I puffed up my fur and started to hiss. This really woke up Momma because she thought something was wrong and she went to check on me and Georgia.

She said that the geese made me puffable. I don't know what is up with her and making up puff words. Just because I will be First Puff when Chey is president doesn't mean that she has to come up with a whole new vocabulary!

Lazy Weekend

Here I am, having a lazy Easter weekend. We got some new links on our side bar. Cheysuli got about halfway to her goal of comments this weekend (and there's still time until she gets a new meezer Monday post!)

I did not do any Easter candy hunting but I did look outside. It was very sunny outside. I like to lie in the sun and dream of handsome Ping!

I have to say though, Momma is getting a little silly on the nicknames. Puff Baby was okay 'cause it made me sound like a rapper. I hoped Puffin Muffin was a passing fancy. I really had Puffalump though. And what's up with Poofaloompa? Momma get real!

What's that in the sky?

I sat all day in this warm spot on the floor. It was bright and well, quite sunny. It's been so long since I've seen sun, at first I didn't know what it was. Then my fur started to get all warm and I started to purr and I realized that this was sun and it was back!

Did you know that yesterday people just an hour north of us had an inch of snow? Just a few hundred feet up in our area there was a light dusting too! Imagine that in April! Remember, it never snows here.

Today there was sun. In two days it's supposed to be in the 70s, which is quite warm, I guess, but I never get to go out so I wouldn't really know. Still it's a very strange year. I hope that whatever it does that there is plenty of this sun for me to lie in. I like it.

Weekend Wrapup

Well the Almost Dad fed us while Momma was gone. I even went up and purred at him on Sunday. He doesn't really like it when I stand almost on his head and purr. Momma does. She thinks it's sweet to wake up to a cat purr. He just thinks I'm noisy.

Georgia wouldn't go down and eat for him so he had to bring the food upstairs and he would lock Chey and I out of the bedroom so Georgia could eat all on her own. Georgia immediately came down stairs when Momma came home so she is okay. She had some good treats and got her ears rubbed exactly the way she liked it once Momma was home.

I'm glad she's around. Cheysuli says she will tell me all about the standing room only talks she had in Portland. I guess it was a very receptive city.

Momma says taht lately every time she takes a photo of me I look mad. She says I am getting an attitude.

Well if she'd quit doing what she wants instead of what I want, then maybe I wouldn't be so mad all the time.

We Need Your Help

The Menu Foods recall opened our eyes to a few things in the pet food industry. The first is that we didn't realize how many food companies farmed out their food production to another company. We would like to know who uses what food company. However, we don't know how to find that information. If anyone comes across information like that in their reading, could they post to think over at Chey's Place?

We're also interested in how food companies assure us of quality control. What things are they looking for? What aren't they looking for. How often do they look for it? Who actually buys the ingredients for their foods when they subcontract the production of their cat food. We are interested in all of this. We would really appreciate any information anyone digs up on these subjects.

Weekend Roundup

We stayed home this weekend and had lots of good naps. Georgia decided to follow Momma around the house, perhaps cause Momma was gone working lots last week. She will be gone lots this week too but that's cause she has to go out of town.

She said the Almost Dad will take care of us when she's gone. I hope he's nice to me!

I got my new softpaws put back on. All of my last round had finally fallen off so now I have new little red toes.

We've been keeping an eye on Menu Foods. It makes us wonder how many pet food manufacturers there are as opposed to to pet food companies. Did that make sense? It seems like an awful lot of pet food companies used Menu Foods to make their foods. That seems odd to me and I want to find out more about it.

It's My Turn!

Yeah, it's my turn to blog about me. But you know what? I haven't done a whole lot of anything.

Momma is gone a lot this week so I am having a harder time keeping up on the goings on around the blogosphere, but then so is Cheysuli. However, Momma says it means we'll get more cat food. She proved it by stopping at the store on the way home and we got lots of cat food! I don't have to worry about wasting away and then being blown away like a tiny little fur puff.

If you haven't gone by Forty Paws and read about Davy, you might want to do so. These are hard posts to read but they are important for cat owners to know. We've certainly learned a lot about what to do if something like this strikes our neighborhood, although we hope it won't. Momma might get put in jail for doing to the perpetrator what he (or she) did to a cat...

Georgia Tuesday

Oh today is all about Georgia. She is over at Chey's Place and she is here. This is her sitting by the fire. She was sitting so close to the fire for so long that before she turned over, Momma sat there and held up the edge of the blanket so that the fire wouldn't burn her behind. Finally she decided it was warm enough and she turned over. I got to sit with her.

This was awhile ago, when it got cold and we got snow again. In fact, we might get some today too! And it's MARCH! Did you know, it never snows here, but never has happened about three times so far and maybe will happen again?

Yesterday Georgia got up on Momma's lap, with some help from Momma 'cause she can't jump on the sofa (Georgia not Momma). So I jumped up and sat with Georgia on Momma's chest. I headbutted Georgia and licked her ear and her side.

I have decided that this is my new phrase. Momma laughs cause she had a friend who used to say that as a joke, but it's my phrase now. I mean I'm obviously much cuter.

Momma wasn't home today. She went skiing and so she didn't blog for me. She said the weather wasn't great. Low clouds, flat light and then some light snow or hail or something and perhaps even a hint of rain. She said the conditions were iffy. Some runs were icy. Others had a couple of inches of snow over VERY hard pack. Some of her favorite runs hadn't been groomed and that meant about 6 inches of heavy snow which made her legs tired.

She says that because the pass here is so low that it might be the last week with any decent snow as it will start raining there more and more. It was already turning to slush at the bottom by noon. She is worried that she won't get to ski too much more, but she is going to Portland at the end of the month and is thinking of going a day early to ski THERE. Do you think she likes skiing more than me?

She complained the whole time. So why wasn't she home to help me blog? I'm warm. I'm fuzzy. She doesn't have to sit in the rain with me. I like to have my ears rubbed just like Georgia. I think she needed to stay home. I am ever so much more cuddly than the skis.

My Georgia Update

Georgia got to go the vet and they took blood today. She said it was just a little stick. She is getting used to that place. They were very apologetic that they had to use a little rubbing alcohol to clean her neck for the stick! Anyway results should be back tomorrow.

Momma said the vet said Georgia is doing about as well as can be expected. She doesn't seem uncomfortable or in any pain so things are remaining as they are.

Momma said I am a little pill because I am a dominant cat just like Georgia and that I am becoming "socially mature," so I am trying to dominate everyone, even Chey! Anyway she also said I really like Georgia's attention so I am always tormenting her so that's why she is in the closet. Hmph! I just want Georgia's attention, cause she is more like my real Momma Cat than Momma is!!!

I am going to go headbutt her and push her over until she pays attention to ME!!

Weekend Wrapup

So we didn't do a whole lot this weekend. It is still raining here. I am very jealous of all the cats who have nice weather and can sit in the sun. I sat in the clouds in the window.

Momma and I tried to figure out how it is that I can be a tiny enough cat to get under the dresser that has all of about an inch of clearance and yet I can still fill up the entire side of the bed that she wants to sleep on. I don't know. I guess it must be a cat thing. Momma thinks perhaps I just flatten myself out and all the puff needs to go somewhere. I don't know. But that was our thinking for the weekend.

We had lots of good kitty food. Georgia came out from time to time but she seems more confused and was particularly confused last night. She went the wrong way to get some cat food. I don't understand. Anyway Momma is taking her back to the vet and we will see what they say this time.

Wedding Update

Oh it's just so furry exciting around here. I was worried that Cheysuli would be a bridezilla but she's not. Of course, she's kind of bossy anyway, so maybe that's why we haven't really noticed any difference. Also, no one has told her no yet for any of the stuff that she wants. So that's good.

Anyway they have almost chosen the dresses. We are debating whether they should be plum or navy blue. See Chey and Momma like my dress in the navy blue better but the rest of the dresses they like better in plum. It's such a difficult decision. They want me to be in a different dress 'cause I am so puffy and the others aren't.

Well, at least I get to wear a dress rather than have to be an usher like poor Snap. Latte said she doesn't mind, but still!

I used to be silly in my litterbox

When Momma first got us the automatic litterbox, she was very impressed with my inventiveness. I used to jump in out of the litterbox to watch it move. Then I tried doing the same thing with the other litterbox and I was so disappointed that it didn't move around at all! Oh well. She thought I was very smart for thinking of that.

I love that litterbox because not only is it always clean and stuff but I can play with it. Georgia likes the ramp.

So Furry Much Going on

First off, with all the excitement, Cheysuli wants to apologize to Zeus. We've gotten that lovely gift box for winning Miss Litterbox and we have photos of us all opening it up and Georgia sitting on the award Chey got (showing her what Georgia thinks of Miss Litterbox!). We still haven't uploaded the photos though and so Chey hasn't blogged it about. We do want to thank Zeus though.

Anyway with the wedding plans and changing my blog and things we have all been furry busy. It snowed today here AGAIN. Imagine, snow in March! It never snows here, so Momma says. I am not old enough to know what never is anywhere!

In addition to not getting to thank Zeus, Momma has been busily working a site devoted to orange cats of a certain size. She has finally gotten it up here. She would like me to invite all cats who are ginger and of a certain size to be featured there. Also if you have something that is particularly newsworthy to these particular cats, please let us know. We want to be a resource for these wonderful cats. I was found by one, you know.

Oh my! I all atwitter! Cheysuli is getting married to Latte. I think I'll get to be a bridesmaid-I mean after all sisters sort of HALF to be bridesmaids don't they? I wonder what colors she will have? I hope I look good in them.

Oh I am so thrilled. Momma took some time and instead of working on stuff for Chey or something else, she updated MY blog! I said that seeing I was a pink lady, I needed to look more pink. Another Georgia update

Momma wrote the vet last night that Cheysuli seemed quite concerned about Georgia. The vet said it was time for another remedy. See, Chey had been concerned about Georgia about 48 hours before she became symptomatic and so Momma said that she was worried there was something happening that she wasn't picking up on.

Anyway, the vet gave Georgia more of the remedy she got that helped her this last time.

Momma quite likes this vet, although Georgia doesn't always do well. See, probably what's happened is that Georgia has a benign brain tumor. The allopathic vet that orginally diagnosed that gave her two to six months to live. They put her on pred. While she didn't wobble at all, she didn't really like to do anything, like sit with Momma or play with me. She just wanted to eat and drink and sleep.

So Momma decided to try homeopathic medicine. Now she is off the pred and has been for about two months. She gets wobbly and then they give her a remedy which helps for awhile and then she gets wobbly again. This is pretty normal as her disease advances. There really isn't anything anyone else can do. Neither vet thinks Georgia could survive the invasive brain surgery that would be required to "cure" her because she is such an elderly cat.

Anyway, we think that her head bobbing is better already which is good 'cause usually it takes about 10 days before she really starts responding to a treatment. We're quite happy if she responds faster because that means her body is fighting better.

Momma wants to thank everyone for their concern and good wishes for Georgia! The first vet said she would probably only live two to six months. We're at five and counting. Momma is very happy 'cause Georgia has enjoyed most of the stuff that she really likes for the last few months and seems happy even when her body is acting funny.

Yesterday I was so embarrassed. I was standing on the toilet seat trying to get an interesting thing out of the garbage which sits next to it. Momma brushed by bottoms and said move. I was so shocked I went to stand up and my back foot fell in.

Cheysuli laughed at me.

I ran because I didn't like having a wet foot. Why is there water in there?

Momma laughed too.

I was so humiliated I napped all day to try and forget about it.

Oh and if you get by Bubble's home, his momma has the cat Madness that she's looking for a home for and there's another lady there with two cats she is hoping to find homes for!

First Puff!

Wow! I overheard Cheysuli telling someone that when she's elected president, I would be First Puff. I'm not sure what that is but I'm glad I'll be first!

Anyway the latest Georgia update is that with the weather turning bad again here she's not doing so well. She could hardly walk two steps without stumbling. Momma was furry worried this morning when she heard her falling around as she tried to get to the litter box. She's not closing her one eye like she was able to and so now Momma has to put drops in it pretty regularly.

For awhile, Georgia wasn't even responding when Momma petted her. She just lay there instead of trying to get her ears rubbed and stuff. I was furry worried then too! Anyway she's better this evening but still not furry good. I don't like that. Momma got mad at me when I tried to get her to play and swatted her. I just wanted to make her feel better. But I licked her ear while she was drinking her water to show that I loved her.

Weekend Wrapup

Ok we have done some things on catster. Cheysuli now has a group called Chey For President over at Catster and you are all invited to join. We started sending invitations but it was a very ponderous thing to add one cat at a time so we decided that we would just say if you are a catster cat, then go over there and join up! If you aren't already on our friends list, don't hesitate to say something either. It seemed like a lot of our blogging friends who have catster pages weren't on there.

Anyway Momma and the Almost Dad went out and had a nice dinner for Valentine's Day yesterday. Momma worked on her website that's her personal site. I helped by looking over her shoulder and purring. It was furry tiring so then I took a nap with Georgia.

Georgia has been doing well. She walked around and followed Momma all over last night. She wanted food and of course she got it. She gets whatever she wants. But she's been real stable walking, even down the stairs. Sometimes she can even shake her head and not fall over. This makes Momma happy. Of course, I still have to go and headbutt her and try and make her fall over.

Weekend Update on Monday

So far Cheysuli is up to 69 comments on the commentathon. She is talking about having another one sometime in April for MS. I think that will be instead of doing the MS walk. Lazy cat.

I got tossed off the bed last night. I was purring at Momma and the Almost Dad said I was too loud because he was trying to sleep so he picked me up and dropped me on the floor. I was so hurt. After all I was just happy to lay on Momma in her face!

Finally, Momma finally got the first draft of Chey's presidential site up! I'm even in one of the photos!

Miss Litterbox

So here I am in my gown. Don't I look lovely? Momma put me on a green background to bring out my eyes.

Here's Cheysuli in her gown. She looks quite elegant doesn't she? But then again she has to learn to do stuff like that because she will be president and she will have to wear fancy stuff like this on a regular basis.

She says she certainly hopes her close personal friendship with one of the judges doesn't affect their outcome. You know, she and Kukka Maria are rather friendly as they are both well known in their fields.

We Love Mom Robyn

Beau's Mom sent out an email about appreciating all the Mom Robyn at Hot (M) BC and we thought we had to do that. We do appreciate all that she does for the cat blogosphere. Having a place to go chat when blogger went down was wonderful. We love the place she has found as a real time chat room too. It's so much nicer to have parties like that than just on blogger!

We like that she is always making sure we know which kitties are in need and how we can help. She's used her paypal account to let all of us help Brandi and her Mom. We just want to give her a big ole hug.

Anyway, that's not us as cats. We found this on a site called Swapmeet Dave and he has pages of cute cat and kitten photos.

Anyway, Cheysuli wanted to add a tip and Momma asked how much. Chey didn't know. So, she is giving $1.00 for every 2 comments (.50/comment) to Mom Robyn's tip jar. She will only count each cat once, so make sure she knows who you are if you have a duplicated name! Humans can comment to. Spread the word to go to Chey's and get comments so that Momma has to spend lots of money! I likes spending money. I wonder if my comments will count?

So there I was, sitting on the back of my favorite chair. I was looking very cute and puffy. Momma was thinking that at me as she watched me snooze. I had my cute little puffy paw hanging off the edge just a bit and the other one over my little nose so that it stayed warm.

Then suddenly, the music from Jaws came up... da da... da da... da da da da...DUH DA DAH!

And Chey leaped from the seat of the chair and bit my bottom.

I'm tired of people saying that they hope Momma feels better (she does, thank you. But what about ME?) And now Momma says I have to write more about Cheysuli.

Momma has a thing that says she is going to move Cheysuli's site this weekend. She's all excited because she figured out how to install the new database over at a wordpress thing, so Chey's site will be getting all upgraded and what not and I'll just be at the same old same old. I have to say that Chey's Place will be back when everything is resolved and Momma has the site moved. But it may be down for awhile this weekend. How long depends upon how fast the internet resolves the new server, which is up to it and also how much Momma remembers about what she did to successfully move the blog to a practice area!

So that's about Cheysuli. Has anyone asked about Gemini? Ping has. In fact, he asked me to go to a Valentine's Day party and I want to go. Of course, this assumes that Dread Pirate Blogger actually decides to work as it's not been very nice to me this week either.

Chey is Fat

I love being the cat in the know. Cheysuli is getting fat. Momma noticed that her little tummy sort of sticks out on the sides like a little football. She says she's been eating too much cause we've been feeding Georgia more so Chey gets more. Anyway tonight Georgia wanted food and Chey was running around looking a bit chubby so Momma locked her in the bathroom while we got an extra can of food. YEAH!

Giggles. I keep telling tales about her, don't I? But it's so fun! She gets all the limelight and is always bossing me around so it's fun to tell about her when something happens. I told her Latte is a little cat and he won't like a gignormous fat old Meezer!

Tabby Tuesday

Oh so this was a photo that Momma had on her computer. One of these days she is getting upgraded and will have an imac that lets her be a pc or a mac and then she'll be able to have photos right on her machine! So there I am looking down at whatever she is doing!

The vet said to let this remedy work on Georgia. She seems stable and happy so we are letting it do that. Georgia does seem pretty content. Momma said it's harder for her than it is for Georgia as Georgia doesn't really seem to mind what's happening.

I keep headbutting her cause I like her so much but she's learning to just swat me away so that she doesn't fall over all the time.

Not Much

The Almost Dad got a new computer game and he played with an older one which started Momma. She said she lost the entire weekend and now her neck hurts! She's so addicted. She says in a week she'll stop playing cause she'll be bored and sick of it but for that week, that's about all she'll want to do.

I don't care. She has the game on the lap top so she's downstairs and I can sit with her while she plays. Also, Chey sits in her bed at her feet and then she sits on her sometimes but I don't mind.

Georgia is going to the vet this morning to see how she is doing. I hope she is doing well. Momma says we are into our fifth month of this and she is doing well. She is quite happy although Georgia is looking furry old right now. The vet emailed us back and forth all week 'cause of it, cause she wants a good remedy for her.

I'm Going to Hide

I'm hiding today. The girl who cleans is here and I hide.

Momma can't find me. It's my secret spot and I'm not going to tell anyone my secret spot. What if they find me? Then where will I hide?

I'll be out later to pounce on Cheysuli. People seem to think I shouldn't have said she fell off the bed but I don't care. I think it was funny that she fell. She can be furry clumsy sometimes.

Momma took some photos of my fluffy tummy earlier. I like showing off my fluffy tummy when it's just the people I know. I don't like other people and I don't really care to get to know them.

Chey Falls off the Bed

Last night Cheysuli was cuddled next to Momma. Then all of a sudden we heard this noise. I was at her feet.

Chey rolled off the bed and had fallen between the mattress and the nightstand. She landed on her side on the floor. Momma was worried that she was hurt. I knew better. I pounced on her and we played chase through the house just to prove that everything was okay!

Still it was funny that she fell off! It was not very graceful.

There I am sitting in front of some Christmas presents. Don't I look like I am just the perfect thing to be there?

You can see that our new bed was next to me and I probably was wanting to lay in it, except that I'm probably looking at Cheysuli, who will attack me if I do.

Momma was more up and about today. It was nice only sleeping on her and eating. It's nice not to have to nursse her back to health but I miss the cuddling. Humans ought to be sick more often.

Still Poking Along

We've got some good new photos over on the Almost Dad's computer but Momma doesn't feel good enough to go down and upload them.

I have been trying to get around and visit but it's hard to just get on the 'puter on my own and then Chey wants to hog it!

At least it's nice days to snuggle. Even Georgia has been snuggling! That makes Momma happy. This is a nasty flu she says. She's still not feeling very good and it's been almost four days!

Here is an older photo of Georgia that Momma found. She looks rather startled. She was in the old house where we could see into the neighbor's bathroom (you can see the window behind her!). Maybe there was something there that startled Georgia?

Georgia says it was a big house and she used to chase the Siamese who came before and the Big Ig kitty all over the place. Notice she doens't have a drippy eye or anything in that photo!
We are still worrying about her but she seems pretty comfortable for the moment.

Momma said she might have already put this photo up at another post but she knows she has some nice shots of all of us on the Almost Dad's computer but she didn't log into that yet this morning!

Oh Momma had another visitor this week. She is still here. You know what? I even came out and I smelled the chair she was sitting in! I was so furry brave.

She did not bring dogs though.

Of course, Georgia who is usually so friendly decided to hide from her pretty much the whole time. It made Momma sad. Georgia did get up and down from the bed this week, which made Momma happy but she still falls over a lot. We are hoping that she will stop falling over but are not sure that will happen.

More Georgia

We took Georgia to the vet today again. She did not like the ride. Fortunately it was a little easier getting off our hill here. Yesterday efurryone was stopped on the hills 'cause they got stuck in the snow so it was quite the obstacle course, Momma said.

Anyway, Georgia seems to be doing slightly better and everything is getting better. She still falls over all the time and her head turns to the right and she doesn't want to move too much, but her eyes are dialating evenly, so that's a good change. They weren't last week. We hopes that means her remedy is working.

They talked to Momma some more about working on quality of life and they all seem quite concerned about her life quality and that makes Momma happy 'cause we figure if we lives to be 19 or so, then we've had all the quantity we need.

Oh! And Georgia and Momma were invited to join the 20 year old club which is a club for cats that that vet is starting up who are over 20 years old. Georgia's age is approximate but she's between 16 and 21 years old, so Momma always says she is 19.

I still keep headbutting her and knocking her over but now efurryone seems to realize I just want to rub all over her and headbutt her 'cause she is my most favoritest cat.

Georgia is back under the bed. She has been wobbling a lot. It's been a tough week for us 'cause she hasn't been doing well. The vet said to wait a bit for the remedy to work so we have been and she seems to be doing somewhat better, but it's still kind of a rollercoaster. Momma will be taking her into the other vet ('cause our regular one isn't in right now) on Friday. They think it's best and then the vet can examine her and see how badly she really is feeling and look and see if she thinks this remedy is helping or if we need to give her something else. It's hard to say.

So we've not been online too much 'cause we is worrying so much. I keep knocking her over but I wasn't as bad as Cheysuli who attacked her when she was getting her ears rubbed from Momma!

Georgia continues to be unsteady and I keep knocking her over. It's sort of fun, but Momma gets kinda mad at me. She got a new remedy from the vet for her and she gave it earlier today. Momma is worried 'cause Georgia is still really unsteady, but it took some time before she noticed any real changes from the other remedy so maybe tomorrow or the next day.

Also, Momma and the Almost Dad are getting married for real at the end of the summer. She said that was so many sleeps away, I probably couldn't even count them. I guess that means I'll have more than just an Almost Dad. I think he will adopt me officially.

The Bed

Here I am with the nice bed that Latte sent me being the rightest visitor! I like it. You can see why Latte thought of Cheysuli when he got it. It matches her favorite hat! She won't pose in it though.

We are still playing phone and email tag with Georgia's vet. She just wants to check in on some things with Momma but she will be sending a homeopathic home soon.

Slow

We have not hear back from the vet about Georgia. Momma said she would try and call them back today. Momma has been sick too so that we haven't done that much at all and hardly even got to visit any of our friends. I had to go make Momma sandwhich with the others. Me on one side and Georgia on the other and Cheysuli on top!

Anyway Momma has long day to work today and she's feeling a little better. She says it would be a good day to sit with me and just visit friends but she's got other stuff to do.

Maybe this weekend we will have something to say.
