Cat Talk

It's almost dinner time for the cats. I notice that they all wander around rubbing against my legs around this time in the evening. Chey starts talking to me incessently. Then Gemini starts with her little mew. Then even Georgia chimes in. I work on making my dinner and then giving them theirs so that I can eat in peace.

However, I have noticed that this is almost the only time that they all talk to me at once. In fact, it's the noisest time in my household. I wonder, if I didn't have food would they still talk to me?

My mom free-feeds us dry kibble and we still talk her ear off (well, let's be honest here...it's more me than my brother, Brach)!

My mom just talks right back to me. She'll say things like, "Is that so, Kukka? Tell me more about it!" She pretends to understand MEOW, but it's clear she doesn't.

Yes, until they realized no food was forthcoming. I'm a talkative girl and I'll say "treats...Nooooowwwww." My woman seems to understand. When my man talks to himself with a hand to his ear, I answer. We can't have people thinking he's crazy, talking to himself like that.
