I'm so not a kitten any more!

The other day my almost dad decided to put up an old photo of me on kittenwars. I mean, I hate to admit that because I'm not a kitten (being old enough to be the female lead in Little Shop of Ham and all!). However, I'm only doing about 50/50 on my outcomes. I am furry sad. Of course, the man didn't do it right the first time and when he did do it, he put up a photo, where instead of seeing my beautiful eyes, you just see points of lights where the flash went off.

Humph. If you want, you can go vote for me here.

Ready for the Stage

OH! Cheysuli has decided I get to play the female lead in the Broadway play she has written for Miles Meezer, called Little Shop of Ham! I get to sing Suddenly Miles with him. I told her and told her that Suddenly Sammy alliterated better (like the song Suddenly Seymour) but she said the play was about Miles, so we had to use Miles. I guess. Still it's got some nice floaty tunes and I get to use my voice.

My part says I'm a naive young adult kitty cat who lives with the butcher and I have to pursuade him to take Miles in and feed him! This will lead to a problem with the health department as I guess if you butcher hams you aren't supposed to have cats in the place or something and so we have to run off together and then the butcher who is my owner gets all sad cause he thinks we're gone but then he finds us!!! Oh it's so happy. And then we feeds Miles and feeds him and feeds him and he get so big that he takes over the world!

Chey is furry into Total World Domination...

But this will be my big break! I can't wait. I'll have to write personalized invitations to all my cat friends, particularly people like Kukka Maria who are already famous! Oh this is good!

Cheysuli The Mystery Cat

OH OH! Momma's helping me come up with a song.

Sung to the Tune of "Macavity: The Mystery Cat" from CATS.

Cheysuli! Cheysuli's a mystery cat
She's called the Hidden Paw
For she's a master criminal who can defy the law
She's the bafflement of Scotland Yard
The Flying Squad's despair
For when they reach the scene of crime Cheysuli is not there!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
She's broken every human law
She breaks the law of gravity
Her powers of levitation would make a fakir stare
And when you reach the scene of crime Cheysuli is not there!

You may seek her in the basement
You may look up in the air
But I tell you once and once again
Cheysuli not there!

Cheysuli is a meezer cat
She's very tall and thin
You would know her if you saw her for her eyes are blue to the rim
Her brow is deeply lined in thought
Her head is highly domed
Her coat is shiney from a wash
Her whiskers always combed
She sways her head from side to side
With movements like a snake
And when you think she's half asleep
She's always wide awake!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
For she's a fiend in feline shape
A monster of depravity
You may meet her in a by-street
You may see her in the square
But when a crime's discovered then Cheysuli is not there!

She's outwardly respectable
I know she cheats at cards
And her footprints are not found in any files of Scotland Yard's

And when the larder's looted
Or the jewel cases rifled
Or when the milk is missing
Or another Peke's been stifled
Or the greenhouse glass is broken and the trellis past repair
There's the wonder of the thing:
Cheysuli is not there!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
There never was a cat of such deceitfulness and suavity
She always has an alibi and one or two to spare
Whatever time the deed took place, Cheysuli wasn't there!

And they say that all the cats whose wicked deeds are widely known
(I might mention Squilliam, Miles Meezer, Isis)
Are nothing more than agents for the cat who all the time
Just controls the operations
The Napoleon of Crime!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
She's a fiend in feline shape
A monster of depravity
You may meet her in a by-street
You may see her in the square
But when a crime's discovered then Cheysuli not there!

Oh Momma, what a naughty, mean song you helped me write.. (giggles)

Oversleeping

Momma laughed at me this morning 'cause I overslept. She called me after the alarm went off because I wasn't there to have my morning ear rub. I woke up and heard her and came running with little meows. She laughed cause the talking told her I had been sleeping and forgotten to get up to have my ears rubbed!

I am so glad that the alarm goes off because with the heat I've been tired. It's cooler now, which is probably why I slept better. Of course, Momma heard us all running around with Georgia at about 4 AM 'cause Georgia made little cat noises while running and she heard that. I'm sure, though, that that's not why I overslept.

No photos today

I guess I can't post those great photos I have today. Blogger keeps giving me an error message. I had a great photo we took of Cheysuli as she was filming her yoga video and then we had a couple of nice photos of ME as I get to be a big big cat and stretch out in the heat. Maybe Blogger is overheated too?

At any rate, it's cooler here today. YEAH. I'm not stretched out so much and I like that. I like being a little puffy cat.

Another Hot Cat

It was furry hot this weekend. Normally I don't stretch out as big as I can be, but I did this weekend. Momma tried to get a photo but I came running to see what she was doing in the other room. I can still follow her around.

She and the Almost Dad talked about a swamp cooler thing to get. I didn't think we lived in a swamp? It does rain alot here, but it hasn't been lately. Besides, where we are it is dry and I thought swamps were wet? Georgia says there are no swamp creatures in the yard either. She loves being outside even though it's so hot. Momma doesn't understand why!

Fur Pulling

I asked Georgia if she wanted to post her rules, seeing Cheysuli and I did. Georgia said she felt no need to post them. Momma knows her rules. Feed her when she meows. Give her treats when she asks and let her out when she wants to go out and rub her ears when she wants it.

Anyway someone asked me who pulls my fur. Well both Georgia and Cheysuli pull my fur. I have puffy fur and they reach into my fur and then bite down and pull back. This pulls my fur and it hurts. Georgia doesn't do it much and only when she's feeling really grumpy and Momma hasn't let her out at all. Cheysuli does it all the time. If I'm sitting some place and she wants that spot or wants to make me move, she comes up and does that until I get up and move away from her. Then she leaves the spot.

See that's one reason Momma gets so mad at her. Momma is looking into ways to create more high places so that we can all be on different levels! That should be fun. She says that may help with Chey being mean to me sometimes.

Gemini Rules

Sammy gave his rules so I am inspired to give mine.

1. Efurryone must be nice.

2. Momma must stay in bed long enough to rub my ears and pet me and let me lick her ears for at least 15 minutes.

3. No fur pulling please. It hurts.

4. I must get kitty crunchies.

5. There must be a good window with lots of birdies.

So these are my rules. See they aren't hard, are they?

Momma was too busy...

Oh so Kukka-Maria got out of jail. I was furry happy about this. It was a long day marching and holding signs. My paws are furry tired. Momma was gone all day so she wasn't home to give me a hug after my hard day on the picket line!

She said she had to work but I had to work too and I wanted to tell her all about it. She wasn't happy then when I tried to talk to her about it before the alarm went off either! Oh well. At least we succeeded!

So Much Going on in the Blogsphere.

Oh my so much to blog about. I was going to talk about the Blogs of Summer on Blogging Outloud because you know they have a kitty cats area for blogs. We could all be there!

Then I saw poor Kukka-Maria's blog and I must go over there for the picket march for Kukka-Maria seeing she's in jail. I think it's just horrible and Chey is calling our senators to see what she can do. This is obviously specist. The Newman's will be joining Chey when she gets off the phone to support Kukka-Maria.

Of course, Chey has no idea what state Kukka-Maria lives in so she's calling everyone. Patty Murry and Maria Cantwell have both said they would help but they need to know who to talk to! Dave Reichart won't even take her calls, but well... so Chey called our former congressman from SW Washington Brian Baird and he said he would help.

My Weekend

I had fun this weekend. Meeko and Kiara came over on Sunday and we had a good time. Momma left us some tuna and catnip and so it was fun. She and my almost-dad went out and looked at really big houses. She said it was called "Street of Dreams" but she said the houses were too big and there was only one house that had good cat places. She liked this house cause it had a garden off the bathroom that was fully fenced with a brick wall and sort of wood shutters on windowlike places and then it was open up top after about six feet of wall. There were lots of plants and a very solid gate. She thought it would be a good place for me and Chey 'cause we aren't allowed out. She said if she bought that place, she'd plant lots of catnip and kitty grass and neat stuff like that.

I asked her when she was going to buy it but she said 3.8 million was out of her price range. I wish it wasn't. I'd like a garden like that.

My Almost Dad

I was asked what an almost-dad was. That's someone who may be my Dad but I'm not sure I can call him Dad yet, so he's almost my dad. He probably will be but I'm not so sure about him. He's bigger than Momma, who is REALLY BIG compared to me, so it's sort of scary. Also he sneezes more and louder. So see, I'm not sure about him at all.

Still, he feeds me. He likes to pet me (when I let him) and mostly he's nice. He did teach me to flip but I'm not sure I like flipping and sometimes he picks me up and makes me flip and I'm not at all sure I like that at all. Still, he does talk to me nice and sometimes he yells at Chey for being mean to me.

So see, he's my Almost-Dad but not quite yet.

Chasing Chey

I was feisty the other day. I chased Cheysuli all over the place first thing. Then I chased Georgia. She ran pretty fast for an old girl.

Cheysuli then chased me. I knew she was just doing it in fun and I don't mind that she pushes me around a bit. Momma worries too much about me. I know Georgia resents Chey's pushy ways 'cause Georgia is the same way (and Momma knows that) but Momma worries 'cause Georgia is older and she wants to be sure she has a happy retirement.

My almost Dad found a photo of me and put me in kitten wars. I don't think it's the best shot of me so I don't know if I'll win anything. We'll see.

Kukka-Maria's Blogiversary Gift

Well, this post is for Kukka-Maria and her blogiversary. Is that how you spell it? I read about it and grabbed Momma's credit card and got her one of the things on her list.

Happy blogaversary Kukka-Maria from Gemini, Georgia and Cheysuli.

More Cheysuli issues

Cheysuli is mostly not in trouble any more, though Momma is keeping a close eye on her. She is hoping that if anyone has good information or web sites on cat behavior that they can let her know. She says Cheysuli is very dominant (duh! she wants total world domination!) and is getting to confident now that we've all moved.

Before, Georgia was in the house and then I moved in. Then they got Cheysuli and so she was sort of living in Georgia's territory. Now that we've all moved into the house at the same time, Georgia and Cheysuli and me are all staking out our own territory and Cheysuli wants it all.

Georgia is not eating enough for her age and Momma is worried about that. Also Cheysuli guards the door when Georgia wants to come back into the house like she's going to attack Georgia. She gets way close and runs with her, which annoys Georgia. I think it's kinda nice. Still, Momma doesn't like this pattern. She wants Georgia to have a long happy cat retirement!

Maybe I'm too nice.

Momma told me tonight that I am too nice. She was mad at Cheysuli because Chey was keeping Georgia and me from eating out stinky goodness. So she put Cheysuli in the bathroon to eat her bit of food and left me and Georgia in the kitchen. We ate ours but I was so worried that Chey was unhappy in the bathroom that I went to check on her. I kept doing that and waiting until they let her out. It didn't seem fair.

Momma says that I am too nice to Chey and I let her push me around. But I worry that she's unhappy and I want efurryone to be happy!

A late afternoon nap

Well I had a good nap but then someone woke me up and I'm not happy about it! Momma says I'm getting to such a big cat.

No more boxes

Momma got rid of the last of the main boxes yesterday. I won't have any more boxes to explore. I think this is too bad. There was a lady in yesterday who cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. My litter box wasn't changed though. Momma still does that.

Momma also went into the hiding room and moved stuff around so there's no longer good places to hide. This is too bad. There's only one messy room left and that's her office. It's also the room where I used to like to sit in the window, but she is looking around for a fun perch for me so that I can watch birds up there even without all the old boxes.

The day after

I had a furry nice holiday. I got to run around Chey's float and toss out treats. It was furry fun. I got to eat some too! The cats were furry happy that I was doing that and people with cats who weren't at the parade were excited to get them to take home. They thought I was furry cute. I might have to be a mascot.

Momma suggested to Chey that she should have asked Kukka-Maria to ride on the float but Chey didn't want the attention diverted and she thought people would just look at Kukka and her message would get lost. Momma said that Chey needs to build a following however she can and if it comes from riding on Kukka-Maria's coat tails, then so be it.

I had fun though and we were home safe and sound before the loud bangs started.

Happy Independence Day

So Happy Independence Day to everyone! We are here running around getting Chey ready for her float ride in the parade. She is heavily promoting herself and it's a big float that looks like her all stretched out with lots of stars and stripes and flags. Chey is riding in the center and waving at people, but I get to ride lower to the ground and throw out treats to people as they go by. I am furry excited about that. Georgia could do this too, but she thinks it's silly and isn't into parades.

I am furry excited about all this! I hope people like her float.

Have a good Holiday efurryone!
