Shh....

Shh... there's still people here. Don't tell them I'm out!

Momma said I wasn't eligible for Chey's contest, but here's my thoughts for what she should do this next year.

I think she should be nicer to me for one thing but the big three are:

She needs to go to "Toy Hogs Annonymous"

She needs to go on a diet 'cause she is getting to be a fat meezer.

She needs to realize Puffy Cats are wonderful and she needs to write about it in her post.

So there, even if I can't win, I can dream, huh?

My Resolutions

Oh so many other cats are doing their resolutions. I don't want to be left in the corner or perhaps the closet... of course I like it here!

1.I am going to try and not put my tail in the Almost Dad's face every morning. (this will be hard!)

2.I am going to try and stop tracking kitty litter on to the new treadmill.

3.I am going to try and give Cheysuli a big swat at least once a day, so she takes me seriously.

4.I am going to try and be more like Kukka-Maria.

5.I am going to try and be even nicer to Georgia, although she doesn't want me to be as nice as I am.

6.I am going to be nicer to Momma and purr at her even more so she doesn't call me her happy morning kitty, but her happy all day kitty.

Hmm... Cheysuli said that it might be hard to do number 4 and number 6 so I will have to think about this resolution thing some more. I don't know why I can't just change my mind day to day. After all, I'm cat!

Post Christmas

Well we got some snow here. Momma still hasn't put up photos of the big windstorm and now we have snow! I can't believe it!

Anyway, I hear that the Almost Dad's son is coming to stay with us for about two weeks off and on. He has to visit his Mom too so he won't be here the whole time. I'm furry shy. I don't think I'll like having someone else in my house. I hope Momma feeds me some place safe so I don't have to let him see me. She assures me he's safe and he likes cats. He had a cat growing up. However, I don't know. I don't like just anyone.

One of these days we'll have to get the camera downloaded and get those photos online too.

I Missed Him!

I think I missed Santa Claws! Oh and I wanted to see him and see if he had those Reindeer that Skeezix swears aren't vishus!

But I did get a cool cat tunnel. I got some fun little crinkle balls and a couple of rolling around balls from our secret paw, Ethel Mae. I got to open those. We also got some Friskies treats from here and some food! She was furry generous! She had a couple of feather toys and one wasn't to Chey's liking, so I got to play with that one! YEAH! Usually Cheysuli steals the feather toys and growls at anyone who comes near, even Momma.

I played in a tunnel that Momma got me, I mean us. It was fun. I like running around and jumping in it. Chey likes to pounce at me and I pounce right back. Georgia came out and watched while sitting on Momma's lap. Momma is furry happy cause Georgia hasn't done that in a long time!

It was a furry good Christmas even if I didn't get to see Santa! Oh and Momma got some soft and fuzzy fleece nightgowns that we will all like cuddling with! YEAH.

Happy Holidays

Furry good and peaceful wishes for Effuryone this Holiday.

Happy Day!

Oh maybe I got my Christmas Present early. I don't know! Momma took Georgia back in for her followup and the vet said she was looking so good and as she was continuing to have things improve that she didn't want to give her any more homeopathic remedies but let this one continue to work.

She did give her some stuff to take in case things got bad over the holidays but she thinks Georgia should do well. She is off the pred and doesn't have any more symptoms. Also she showed Momma Georgia's blood work and when they took blood back in September, Georgia's BUN results were still NORMAL and her creatinine was only a litle high, so she is doing furry well. YEAH!.

Oh I bothered Georgia

Oh look it! I jumped up and got too close to Georgia and she is glaring at me. You can see by my ears that I am glaring right back.

Oh well, there's bed to share! I'm going to go settle down on my own. If she doesn't like it, she doesn't like it! She doesn't own the bed, I say.

Wednesday Wishlist

Oh! Efurryone is doing their wishlists and I haven't done mine!

I Wish:

  • for Georgia to get better and to be my favoritest cat forever and ever.
  • for Smudge and Luxor and all the other kitties who haven't been well get better.
  • that the Meezer's Mom and Brandi's Mom and all the other blogging Mommas and Daddys get the jobs they need and want.
  • that all the people who are separated from their families get to be with them again soon.
  • that Momma's business picks up again--it was good and then we had the wind and now it seems all messed up!
  • that efurryone would just like efurryone.
  • I got to play with the feather toy that Chey always grabs
  • to use the nice bed I won from Latte (that Chey will only not use when the camera is around)
  • for Peace on Earth
That's my wishlist.

Why?

Why did Momma get mad this morning?

It couldn't be that I was making bread on her pillow and accidentally stepped on her head.

It couldn't be that I was purring so loudly that I woke her up.

It couldn't have been my little cold nose sniffing her face as she turned over after I stepped on her head.

So what could it have been?

It was a long cold weekend

First, we hopes that Mistrie Rose is okay and that there wasn't too much wind by the time this storm got to the Big Piney Woods. We have a new frog in our yard, but there's no pond. I hope Mistrie wouldn't get blown around like that!

We are furry grateful for the fact that we had a semi-warm home and food and places to sleep and water to drink and that we didn't have to be outside. We are really happy now that the heat is back on! Momma is going to take over now...

Gemini

Okay, this is Mom-Bonnie and I wanted to continue in my own voice rather than dictating through Gemini and Cheysuli. We are all really grateful for what we see as our good fortune. There are so many trees down in this area. If you've never been to the Seattle area, you have no idea. We take our large firs and our large cedars for granted and there are many even in the outlying residential areas. We live in Sammamish, which is sort of the edge of civilization. We have about 35,000 people in Sammamish proper. To the east, there is the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley. Many of the people living there are living in very rural conditions, though there are a few towns. Snoqualmie is growing by leaps and bounds as people attempt to find affordable housing in this area. North Bend is no slouch either. Issaquah--once the middle of nowhere is a thriving commerical center.

I drive State Route 202 for about 20 minutes to get to my office and it's the most beautiful drive. If anyone remember's Twin Peaks, this was the route that they showed Agent Cooper driving on as he approached the main building (which is Snoqualmie Falls Lodge). I drive that route three or four days a week and I pass that lodge. North Bend is home to the "Damn Fine Cuppa Coffee" as they used to say and that diner is three blocks from my office. The trees and smell that so enchanted Agent Cooper's character are every bit as wonderful as he made out.

Unfortunately, because this is a rural area, most of the power lines are above ground. Even Sammamish, Issaquah, Bellevue and Redmond have above ground power lines. When the winds blew, a lot of those trees came down and hit the power lines.

We lost power at 8 PM on Thursday--just as Survivor started. I was hoping to make it through the show, although I was a bit surprised that we managed to have dinner at home. We pulled out the oil lamp, the flashlights a few candles that I have the glass domes for (so they give off more light) and transistor radio to hear the news. We learned that the brunt of the storm would hit a little before 11 pm. I feel asleep listening to the news upstairs. Our bedroom faces the front of the house. At about 1 PM I woke up to the sound of the wind. It was so loud you could almost feel it buffeting the house. Frequently trees would blow so hard that what little light was coming through the house, in area without power, that everything would get even blacker. It made you hold your breath. I feel for those people in Louisiana!

Komo 1000 said the wind was coming in from the Southwest and our bedroom was probably on that side of the house. We had no trees that would hit that area from the bedroom which made me feel better that the 11 large trees on our property and the two on the neighbors would probably not fall on us as we slept. One of them had the potential to have chipped the far edge of the house, but we're basically over the garage so there was a large driveway there and no real big trees.

I heard something about 2:30 that made me think that something had been hit. I got up and looked out the window and one of the 80-100 foot trees that lined the edge of the neighbor's house was no longer silloutted there. It looked as if it had fallen into the driveway of our next door neighbor. When I heard them yelling, all I thought was that it had hit something important, so Dennis and I pulled on sweats and shoes and ran outside to see if they needed something. The tree had missed the truck in the driveway, falling on the empty side. They had moved the other car a few hours earlier, worried that if one of those trees fell, they'd hit their car.

They stayed up through the storm and pulled around their cars to shine light on the trees and cut up parts of that large tree so that at least there was room for a car to drive into our culdesac. The people who lived in the house where the tree fell reported the next morning hearing a chain saw awful close by and thinking a tree must have gone down close. Were they surprised to come out and find it was one of theirs!

The morning light showed that one other tree across the street was partially uprooted. Two trees had gone down between two houses on the edge of the culdesac, but had only pulled down the fence. Another tree had fallen and hit the house behind us but hadn't broken through. She just lost some glasses. There was no structural damage to her house. The people behind us had damage to three of their cars when the tops of two our trees and the top of our next door neighbor's tree fell over--mostly in the culdesac but some of the branches hit the cars and broke the windows and likely there was some structural damage to the back of one. Our fence came down.

The woman across the street summed up the fact that although we had four large trees come down and three get topped, our culdesac was incredibly lucky. It could have been far far worse.

Through out the last two days, they have come around offering food that she has cooked over a gas grill at her sister's house. We have listened to Komo 1000 for two days straight and heard from so many people representative of the million plus homes without power in the area. People called in offering places. People with generators offered rooms. People who had power back on quickly offering their supplies to those who couldn't find them. People gladly offering information on where to find things like D batteries and gasoline and propane (though good luck on the last one!).

We feel lucky to have the power back on today. There are still hundreds of thousands of our neighbors without it. Most of them are either to the east of us or in pockets just to the west of us. I don't know if I'll be able to work next week at all as they are still saying days for North Bend to have power. Believe me, I have a lineman who's a patient. I'll be giving him a free treatment and offering one to anyone else who works with him! These guys have been out steady for three days now.

The linemen weren't out in the wind because it was too dangerous to be out in the wind--they might try to fix one thing and have another line come down and be injured. However, they were out by daylight Friday morning as soon as things calmed down enough to be safe assessing what needed to be done. Trees were mostly cleared by Friday in most areas and then power was gradually brought back on. I suspect they are working west to east so that there is power to bring into the more rural areas.

We were doubly thankful that when we looked out on Saturday morning we had a package that at first I couldn't figure out what it was and then it was like, oh my it's their bed from Latte! I really missed not having a computer at that moment to blog and say Thank you immediately! It's so perfect for Cheysuli. Right now our camera is getting recharged so it will be a few days probably before I'm caught up enough to do justice to the photos. Chey seems to know it looks nice against her fur because she's been using it more than the other two cats...:)

It's Georgia!

Oh look, it's Georgia and she's on the bed. She is during pretty well.

Last week, we had one instance of her sort of wheezing for a moment but then it was over. She's been a little slower in responding to being called, although she can move pretty fast when she wants to.

Momma was happy that she's been sleeping on the bed by herself now again--when she was real sick, she was always hiding and she did a little of that last week.

She goes back to the vet lady a week from tomorrow. They have called to check on her and read her progress report so they know what' s going on. As it's a little longer than the two weeks so that Momma could do it on a day off, she will probably call or email them again at the beginning of this week. We are furry glad that although we are weaning her off the pred, she has not had any of the nasty symptoms yet.

We are getting a wind storm here. We had a little one yesterday and she wanted to go out but didn't want to go out 'cause of the wind.

This doesn't involve Georgia--but I can't comment on the Meezers! It gives me a window and I write and then I hid send but it keeps coming back. They may have my comment about 10 times or perhaps not at all! I will be glad when Blogger fixes this!

Momma said I was a Naughty Cat

I have been pouncing on Cheysuli. Last night Momma saw me stare her down and she backed off. Momma thinks it's cause I'm the bigger cat--or at least I look bigger! She still thinks Cheysuli is tougher...

Anyway, when I knocked over her file of all her different online info and scattered it around, because I had to put my behind in her face to remind her I was HUNGRY, she said I was getting furry naughty. I kept knocking Georgia over when she was unsteady and I then when Georgia tries to climb on Momma, I jump up and get between them. Now that I am chasing Cheysuli around, she says I am naughty. She said I might not get good gifts.

I said, I gots so many gifts yesterday that I don't care. But I hope that Santa doesn't think I'm TOO naughty.

We got Presents!

Oh my we got so many presents today.

First off, I went to Latte Meezer's blog and I was the 3,999 cat so I visited again and I was the 4,000 cat and I WON! I WON! I WON! YEAH. Of course, you know Cheysuli and Latte admire each other's Meezerness so that she will probably hog the Millie Bed that we are getting and no doubt Latte picked out a color that will look most stunning against her fur, but I am the one who was reading and WON!!!

Then we got our Secret Paws gift. It's in a purty stocking. We think it looks great. Momma let us open one thing that was next to the stocking. We'd like to thank our Secret Paw, but we are furry embarrassed. It's from Ethel Mae and she is a woofie but we don't know where her blog is or who her people are to say a great big thank you. We know she wasn't sure what to get us and we'd like to say that we are so pleased with her gift!

Oh and yeah, Chey was Kat's Kat of the Day. Momma needs to submit me!

So that's our day. How was yours?

Toesday

Oh my! Here it is! My Toesday photo with my Soft Paws!

It wasn't as hard as Momma thought to put them on. First, she trimmed my nails. I don't like that, but I am better than Cheysuli. She only trims one or two nails at a time with Chey. Then the Almost Dad put the glue in the caps. He said that was the hard part. Then Momma slipped them on my toes. Then she had to make sure I was distracted and didn't pull them off in the first five minutes. One fell off. The Almost Dad thinks there was one that didn't have enough glue in it. But the others stayed on. I enjoyed playing with the fluzzy toy that Momma was bouncing in my face. Then when she was done, I ran and attacked Chey!

The Almost Dad to had to squeeze my toes a bit 'cause my fur is so heavy and I have big old feet but tiny little toes that you can't even see the bright red nails unless I am playing and have them sort of splayed out!

Hiding

Doesn't it mean that if I can't see you, you can't see me? I am hiding from the Vishus Deer Conspiracy that Cheysuli discovered...

And look! Blogger Beta still lets me upload photos like always!

We're Updated

Momma got a note when she went to log in that we needed to update to Blogger Beta. We are mostly there. She is on Beta and I am now on Beta. Georgia still needs to move her account and we are thinking Cheysuli won't have a beta account, 'cause she has her own blog and we usually just have her use my account anyway when she has to comment.

I am just looking at how this is different from the old one blogger. It seems really similar. Momma likes that she can update the template and tweak it from the panel but I don't know how to do all of that.

Have a good weekend.

My Paws are Soft!

Momma got me some softpaws for Christmas. Although they were supposed to be a Christmas gift, she and the Almost Dad put them on me already. She said I had a furry pretty pedicure with my red nails and stuff now.

I don't think I liked the pedicure very much. She was trying to get a photo but I have such big paws with little tiny kitten toes that you can't see the red nails much. She said she will need the Almost Dad to help hold me so that she can take a picture of my toes. Maybe we will put it up on Toesday!

Georgia's first Treatment

So Georgia had a homeopathic therapy yesterday. The vet said that she could feel really good today or maybe there wasn't too much difference. Anyway, if she is going to react badly she will do so probably Friday or Saturday, which is about the time that the body sort of re-acts to the homeopathic. Momma has numbers to call if anything too scary happens.

She and the vet are hopeful that it won't, cause Georgia seems to be doing well.

Momma said our secret paws gift went out yesterday. She laughed though. We all wrote a nice letter to put inside the card and we forgot to put the long letter inside! Oh well. I hopes they knows it's us! Momma said we signed our names though.

Georgia

Momma called the vet first thing this morning and she said they didn't sound very nice. They said tha their 11 AM was very gracious so that we "could" get in at 11 AM. I think it was their mistake and Momma is rather mad because it made it sound like it was her fault that she had to change the appoitment time.

Anyway I went running up the stairs to Georgia so I could headbutt her.

Update: So Momma got back from the vet. They were actually furry nice once she got there and felt badly that she was so annoyed with them. The vet talked to her for an hour and looked over Georgia. She said Georgia has no real symptoms, but that's sort of normal with pred. Anyway she gave her one homeopathic and we need to touch base in a week and then bring her back in another week to see what has changed. Also she is titrating her off the pred so that we can see what is happening. She said there were several other things that can cause the symptoms that Georgia had. She has nothing that says obviously that it's a meningioma, so it's hard to say what it is.

We will keep you updated. Maybe I will have my Georgia kitty for awhile longer yet!

Furry Upset

Momma is furry upset. She just found a message on the machine from Georgia's vet that she hadn't seen before. It probably came when she was out grocery shopping yesterday afternoon or late on Friday. They said her appointment with Georgia is at 1Pm but she made it for 11 Am and she has patients at 3 PM and she can't get from the vet (which they said would take an hour for the appointment) and home and then to her work in that time. It's almost 45 minutes. We had to wait about three weeks in order for her to get an appointment for Georgia and Momma doesn't know if Georgia has three more weeks to wait.

She called and will call again on Monday morning to verify and if she has to cancel, she will. But she is just so angry that they messed up the appointment like that when she made the appointment so far out. This could be Georgia's life! Well it is Georgia's life but maybe we'd have had her a bit longer if we could have actually seen someone sooner.

I Get to Go Shopping!

Momma said we would go online later tonight or tomorrow and go shopping for our Secret Paw pal so that we can send something out. Yeah. I was the one who most wanted to do Secret Paws so that I get the most input. Georgia wasn't at all interested, but then she likes to sleep a lot. Cheysuli does get to pick something out but she wasn't as excited about the Secret Paw thing. She just never gets as excited about something, unless it's a feather toy or food!

Oh but Chey is coming up with a contest for her blog so keep an eye out. We'll probably be announcing it in a couple of weeks! It's for efurryone! YEAH!

The snow is gone, mostly so that it's not so mucky out. Georgia still hasn't gone out since the Almost Dad forgot about her. I don't blame her. She gets to go to the homeopathic vet on Monday to see what they can do for her. Momma is pretty happy with how her body is handling the disease but we are hoping to lengthen her life a bit or at least the time that she has quality of life. The other vet said two to six months and I think we are going on two and a half already.

I Pounced

Momma had the camera the other night and was taking photos and Cheysuli was showing off like she always does with lots of rolls and stuff so I pounced. Aren't I ferocious?

Tuesday, November 28, 2006

Georgia got left out!

The snow that is falling on the Big Piney Woods also fell here though not so much. Seattle isn't used to much snow, so the city isn't prepared--only a few plows and sanding trucks. Most schools were closed today. Momma still had a couple of patients so she drove up to her work place. Although her work is closer to the mountain pass and is higher in elevation, there was less snow there than there was here! She said that city is still in King County so they don't really have more plows because that's a county thing so it really surprised her. The mountain towns were all easy to get around in but the flat lands were still icy and snow covered!

The Almost Dad stayed home with us today. He let Georgia out a little before Momma called to say she was on her way home and to be sure she didn't need to stop for something. Anyway Georgia was on the porch when she got home. She was opening her mouth like she was meowing (but no real sound comes up like always) and Momma was gathering her stuff and Georgia was rubbing against the door like she really wanted to go in. She didn't even stop to scratch on the door mat like she does, so she was really ready to come in.

Momma and Georgia yelled at the Almost Dad when he came in. Cheysuli did too. I just asked for a bit of food because I thought that would help Georgia warm up, but Momma said the fire would do that a bit better.

Monday, November 27, 2006

Maybe I'll go skiing!

Momma always says I am furry nosy whenever the carrier comes out. Here I am smelling it. She only had it out for a moment 'cause she was starting to get out some of the Christmas decorations. She said we'd decorate next weekend probably.

There is snow here today. She was happy. Snoqualmie has been open on a limited basis and so has Stevens but she hasn't gotten to go up yet. She said maybe next week and she is looking forward to it. She has too much to do this week though. I like it when she skis, 'cause then she comes home and is cold and tired and I can snuggle with her and let her get warmed up!

Chey's a Busy Cat

Cheysuli has been a busy cat. She found squidoo and started making lenses. She made on herself. She also made one on all of us! Oh my! Look, my picture is on here! Of course, you can read more about it on her blog!

I should go over there and make a lens on me and then I could join her group called Cat Bloggers. She said lots of folks that I haven't met before will see me. I wonder if Momma would make a cafepress store just for me? I wonder if anyone would buy anything. I know my handsome Ping would like to, but he could have pictures just 'cause he is a sweet boy.

Still she keeps working and working her little paws to the bone. When will I get time to play on the computer. I want my own!

Friday, November 24, 2006

I Got Turkey!

Oh the Almost Dad had so much food that he couldn't finish, so we all gots little bits of turkey that Momma fed us. I think that was furry nice of him to offer us each some of that turkey. He may no longer be an Almost Dad but a Dad, but I still have to think about that.

I had a furry nice day and got to snuggle a bit later than usual with Momma today. I like that. Georgia was behind her legs and I washed my face in front of her so that she would wake up and pet me and tell me how cute I am. She did. That was nice.

I woke up and was reading my blogs this morning and was sad to see that Tilly of the Tower Hill Mob crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. Our thoughts are will them.

Wednesday, November 22, 2006

It's Almost Thanksgiving!

I think it's wonderful that so many cats are writing lists about what they are thankful for and not all of them are just thankful for turkey.

  • I am thankful that I have a wonderful Momma and a furry nice Almost Dad.
  • I am thankful that I have a warm house and a fireplace and places to play
  • I am thankful that Georgia continues to be in good health and will play with me sometimes.
  • I am thankful that handsome Ping is my boyfriend kitty.
  • I am thankful that I have met so many nice kitties here that have taught me so much.

Oh look! There I am will Georgia on the blanket on the bed. Have a good Thanksgiving. Enjoy your family and I hope you get lots of time to nap!

Another Odd Routine

So once again the Almost Dad was home most of the day and Momma wasn't. I'm not sure I like this. The Almost Dad clumps his feet more than Momma and that's furry disturbing. Also he doesn't just pet me and tell me I am beautiful, he wants to flip me.

He says, "Gemini! What are you doing?" when I roll in the bathtub. Momma just rubs my fluffy belly and says I'm so cute.

I like the Almost Dad and everything but I'll be glad when we get back to our usual routine!

Monday, November 20, 2006

Rolling Around

Oh look at me! I just rolled all over the floor and was enjoying that. Momma says I look furry puffy.

I didn't do a whole lot today. The Almost Dad was home for the holiday and I am looking forward to a bit of turkey. Momma was gone much of the day 'cause she had to work. The Almost Dad fed us our dinner. Chey was mad about that because she doesn't like him so much.

Anyway I had a furry nice dinner.

I am thinking that I need to start thinking of all the things I'm thankful for so I can post them.

Weekend Report

Momma slept in and so did we. I liked the cuddle time. Then she went shopping so I napped some more and killed some invisible bugs. I attacked the bathtub for no reason. Well there was a reason--it's an evil, wicked bathtub and I had to strike first!

Sunday Georgia chased Cheysuli around. Then Cheysuli chased me around. Momma decided Georgia needed more fluids, although she is doing well. So we all sat around and watched Georgia get fluids under her skin. Momma found it worked much easier to get on the bed with Georgia and give fluids rather than taking her to the bathroom where she hangs the fluids. The Almost Dad held onto the bag and opened and closed the flow. Georgia sat very still and was much more comfortable than she is when she's being held in the bathroom. I wonder if something bad happened to her in the bathroom?

Momma was gone so much and for so long this weekend that I hardly got to work online at all! When she was home, Cheysuli was hogging the 'puter! She is such a computer hog. I need my own!

Friday, November 17, 2006

up High

Oh look at me! I'm up so high. The other day, the Almost Dad saw me looking up the bookshelves they have dividing their big room by the fireplace and he let me explore up there. Oh it was so fun. I could almost sniff the ceiling.

He tired to get me to come down, but I didn't want to. I laid out up there and moved around and then when he wasn't looking, I leaped down. It was only six feet up.

Momma was kind of upset 'cause she thought I could hurt myself from that height, but it was only six feet! I hope I get to go up there again. I could touch the ceiling!

Invisible Wall Bugs!

We were going to post some more photos but Momma didn't get them upload 'cause for some reason the power was not on. She said it was 'cause there was a big wind storm up here and the power went off. We sat and cuddled on the bed while she read because that had the best light to read by until the sun went down.

After the sun went down, Momma lit a bunch of candles and we sat by the fireplace. I could see all sorts of invisible bugs on the walls by the candle light and so I kept trying to attack them. Momma said I made her laugh because she was getting kind of bored just sitting in the dark. I don't know why she was getting bored. She could have attacked the invisible bugs herself!

My Tail of Devoshun

Skeezix has a contest for our Mommas and Daddys to write up how much they love us. I am writing my own tale of devoshun to Georgia.

I loves my Georgia cat. She didn't want another cat when I came to live but her ears always perked up when I mewed from my room in the bathroom. I was furry frightened because Momma was so much bigger than I was and I didn't know a whole lot about beans. Then I went out in the world and I saw Georgia.

She hissed at me and then left but I was furry curious even though I was kind of scared. As she got to know me, she stopped hissing so much. I would go up to her and attack and she would roll me over on my back and I would kick at her with my hind legs and scream as if I was being hurt and she would sit there and hold me down on my back. As soon as she let up, I would go back and attack again so she had to hold me down again.

Momma laughed 'cause she just didn't want Georgia to hurt me so for all that fighting, the first time I was out of my room and she fed Georgia, I immediately stuck my head in the food dish. Momma looked a Georgia and said, well, swat her. It's your food! And Georgia just stood there and let me eat! She was so furry nice to me.

When Momma and Georgia are in a room, I go immediately to Georgia. Even if Momma is trying to give me a treat, if Georgia comes into a room, I run over to her. She is the bestest cat ever and I hope that she never ever leaves me!

Tummy Tuesday

Here's my photo for tummy Tuesday. Can you find me under all that fur?! Oh I know it's still Monday but I've been blogging in the afternoon so that means most of you will see it on Tuesday.

That's a close up shot of the lovely stained glass that Momma's friend made. The Amost Dad doesn't like it in the window because he likes to see the window. Momma thinks it looks purrfect there and so do I! We are gonna put it there some how!

Who Was Sick?

Momma was just thinking yesterday that while she missed her first Siamese, Simone, she did NOT miss the fact that Simone would just sort of vomit. Usually this was at night and she'd just casually spit up a bunch of food and stuff onto the bed. Momma hated having to get up and then clean up the bed in the middle of the night. She was thinking how pleased she was that none of us cats did that.

Well, last night she went to bed and woke up. When she got up to go to the human litter box, she felt something wet on the floor. She wondered if her hair was still wet and that she was dripping or something. But then something said turn on the light and so she did. Some had projectile vomited onto BOTH blankets on the bed and then some onto the floor. So she and the Almost Dad had to get up and change the bedding in the middle of the night.

Momma isn't sure but because the food was only partially digested, she is thinking it was Cheysuli.

Where are the Flood waters?

I had a couple of cats ask me where we were that we were getting flood waters. We live near Seattle on the Eastside. The Snoqualmie River that flows out of Snoqualmie pass flooded and flooded both Fall City and Snoqualmie (which is perhaps named after the river). It wasn't the most noticed flood around here. I think Mt. Vernon got more press but it's a big city and Fall City and Snoqualmie are pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

Momma says if anyone remembers Twin Peaks, they used the Snoqualmie Falls Lodge and the diner with the "Damn Fine Cuppa Coffee" is in North Bend, which is just east of Snoqualmie and about three blocks from her new office.

Her office didn't flood but Momma and her officemates were worried that they roads would be closed and they couldn't get there because they have to cross a river no matter which way they go. Today the roads were back to normal so Momma drove the back roads back to work and she didn't see too much damage but she was driving along the sort of highway (although it wasn't listed on the WAdot site so it's not a big highway). Also, lots of the damage was more on the inside to people's homes.

She said most of the cows (or moo moo's) were back in the pasture and that was good to see.

We live up on a plateau (whatever that is) and so our house wasn't in danger and there aren't any rivers around, just a lake, so that was also good. I guess lakes don't flood like rivers do. Portland flooded too and Momma isn't suprised because they get lots of floods with all the rivers there.

The rain that flooded us is now getting Patches and Mittens and Precious and Mistrie.

Tub soccer or Invisible Bugs?

I've been killing the invisible bugs in the bathtub again. The Almost Dad thought that was silly because he can't see the invisible bugs. So he thought I needed a cat toy in the tub and tried to get me to play tub soccer! I thought it was rather good that he and Momma wanted to play tub soccer but those invisible bugs are so much more fun that I only played a little and then when they left, I went back to my bugs.

I feel really good 'cause I have choices! It looks like the waters are going down around here and that there wasn't too much human loss of life. No one has reported on our fur friends though.

Dona nobis pacem

Okay, so it's a little early but Momma doesn't have as much time in the morning as she used to and she felt that I should get started on blogging about world peace.

Why are we cats for world peace? I mean if we didn't have world peace, the Almost Dad might have to go and fight with other people instead of making lots of money to get stinky goodness. Also, Momma and the Almost Dad would be much more stressed out and we wouldn't get as much good food and loving and cuddles.

Peace starts at home. I am going to be nice to Cheysuli and Georgia today and maybe we'll all be nice to each other and have a peaceful day. Momma is going to go vote and then watch the election returns. I'm sure Cheysuli will be glued to the television and computer screen too (another reason I probably won't get to blog tomorrow!). However, Cheysuli is who she is and I shouldn't get so mad at her. I mean I can ask and tell her she's being rude, but I shouldn't just get angry, huh? Not if it's a day about world peace.

I wish e-furryone a good day, a peaceful day.

Here is a wonderful quote from the Dalai Lama

Peaceful living is about trusting those on whom we depend and caring for those who depend upon us.

Weekend Report

Well, once again we had a quiet weekend. Momma meant to do a bunch of sewing. She thought the Almost Dad would be gone part of Saturday but it started to rain so he didn't go golfing. And she didn't feel so well. She was trying to get rid of what she calls the yeastie beasties which she said was making her want lots of bread and sugar and stuff and making her tired and cranky (I didn't know that!), so she started taking something called oregano oil (she said it'll be awhile before she craves Italian food again) and removed all sugars, fruits, wheat and dairy from her diet and she was so sick.

She wasn't expecting to be sick until today or tomorrow and then just a little bit but the oil must have accelerated the process. She doesn't feel quite so bad today but she was in bed most of yesterday. I'm sorry she felt badly but it was so cool to be able to cuddle with her all afternoon! I love to cuddle.

She got some good photos of Georgia and Cheysuli cuddling together but I left before she could take photos. Soon the Almost Dad will have to upload them to his 'puter and then if Blogger lets us, we'll be able to show them off!

Georgia Update

Well it's been slightly over a month since Georgia was diagnosed with brain tumor. She's had to take icky medicine now for a month. Momma only has to give it to her every other morning now, which is nice. She is doing furry well and Momma is furry happy. She even attacks me (Georgia, not Momma) sometimes so I know she is feeling good. We are all furry happy.

This is an older photo but Momma says that Georgia is furry camera shy 'cause she always just walks out of the photo as she takes a picture.

Bed Bugs and Bodies

Momma always lets me check under the blankets to find out where she disappears under the covers. This way I know where her body is. The Almost Dad doesn't quite do that. I don't know where his body is! Yet, he says I am rude when I walk all over it instead of going around like I do with Momma. How does he expect me to know where his body is when he won't let me see it under the covers?

Also, why does he yell my name when I attack the bed bugs at the foot on his side of the bed? I mean I can't help it they bite sometimes when I catch them. But shouldn't he thank me for catching them at all?

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween. I'll be back later to upload my Halloween photos--I HOPE

YEAH! Here I am with two of our pumpkins. One is even done!

Weekend Wrap Up

Okay, it was a furry long weekend. In fact, it was an hour longer this weekend! Momma had to go to a seminar about the "endocrine system" which is something humans have and it's furry complex. I don't understand it at all so I hope cats don't have one 'cause I don't know how anyone could understand all of that.

Anyway Momma was furry excited about it and was telling me and the Almost Dad and Cheysuli (and she told people who didn't know Siamese that they all had Liver Qi Stagnation--but I don't know what that is either!) and Georgia all about it. I just like that she was happy. I also like that the Almost Dad fed us when he got up because he didn't know that Momma had already fed us so we got an extra dinner! That was furry nice.

I like having Momma around but maybe she can just have the Almost Dad feed us all the time mid day?

An Apology and An Announcement

Cheysuli is apologizing to anyone who visited her main site (not the blog) in the last week or so because it managed to pick up some malware that was downloading a file that was caught as a virus. Thank you to Kukka-Maria for bringing this to Momma's attention so she could fix it.

Now the announcement. Cheysuli and Momma have been working furry hard to get the NEW My Siamese up and running and it's up now! YEAH. I can read more blogs again! No doubt they'll be re-writing paragraphs and such to get rid of the typos over the next few weeks but it is up and they are just trying to make the list of Chey's favorites look right in the browser window.

The big news is that we each have our own email now and don't have to borrow Momma's! Yeah. I feel so important. Georgia and I are actually sharing my email because it was too long to type Gemini and Georgia but she didn't think she'd get enough email to have her own so I'd said I'd share. Cheysuli wanted her own because, you know, she'll be getting lots of fan mail!

Thursday Monsters

I chased some shadows in the windows. I wonder if they are related to Latte's couch monsters and bed monsters. I don't think I'm big enough to chase monsters but you never know, huh?

Momma worked lots today and she is happy at how fast her practice is taking off in the new location. It was never this easy in her old home. I'm not sure I like it. I was looking forward to having her all to myself for a long time. Oh well.

Snuggle Time

Oh I snuggled last night. The weather is turning a bit cooler and Momma is remaking the bed today (YEAH! I can help!!!) with the flannel sheets. Last night I even crawled under the covers and snuggled next to her.

It surprises her that I love to do that because I have so much fur. While I snuggled next to her tummy, Georgia was on the bed on top of the covers behind her knees. Momma likes that. Georgia never liked going under the covers, I guess. I love to hide!

Of course, as she was dropping off, Cheysuli came and pounced on me and we had to fight and then we started running all over the bed. That was fun. I don't know why Momma didn't like it.

I almost forgot!

Oh I almost forgot to blog! I've been so busy purring for the Meezer's Mom, I nearly forgot to post. But here I am. Come purr with me for Sammy and Miles' Momma and her operation...

Dinner and Pumpkins Oh my!

Oh I think we broke blogger this weekend at Derby's wild party! It got slower and slower and slower and then nothing...

I had to go help Momma get dressed so that I couldn't even say good bye. She and the Almost Dad went to a furry nice dinner. Chey was all worried when they were stuck on the bridge and she started thinking she'd have to hear the Almost Dad complain cause all her specialities are the things he doesn't like much. I'm sure that's why she picked those things to specialize in.

I don't have any cooking talents. I just eat my food.

Next week sometime Momma and the Almost Dad are going to carve pumpkins. I want to see that and see what they do! Momma said she wanted to carve a cat into one of them cause it looks better lying on it's side. It's a nice pumkin but it doesn't stand up so well. She got a little tiny one just for me! I wonder what we'll decorate that one as?!

Gemini's feral cat story

It is formerly feral Friday, but I just did a bunch of photos so I think I will not post another photo today. Efurry was so nice to comment but it's a close runner up. I think Momma kinda likes the little hat a bit better 'cause you can see my eyes.

I was sort of a feral kitty when Momma founded me. The day before she had had to put her Siamese kitty, Simone to sleep. Simone was a nice Siamese, Momma said. Any way that was only 10 days after she lost her big Iggy cat so she was really upset. She heard this mew. She went outside and couldn't find a kitten so thought I was with someone. But late at night she was woken up with this little mew. It was raining furry hard and she was wandering around her condominum complex in her jammies at 2 and then again at 4 in the morning looking for a tiny cat but couldn't find one.

The next day, after she fell asleep convincing herself that I must be locked in one of the garages, perhaps 'cause that was where they were keeping me, she looked for me at her lunch break. There I was, all the way across the complex, about as far from her condo as I could be, yet *she* heard me. She had to chase me into a corner before I would let her get close. I hissed and hissed at her but she just picked me up and said what a little puff ball I was and laughed as I tried to be mean.

I hid behind the toilet in the bathroom where she put me and hissed at anyone who would come in. I didn't recognize food so finally she rubbed some on my face and I licked it off. It wa good 'cause I was FURRY hungry by this time! And so I gobbled up the rest on her finger, slowly coming out from behind the toilet. I was so hungry I bit her finger but Momma didn't get mad. She just gave me more food.

Gradually I got bigger and started to get braver and went out to the big world of the condo and met Georgia. I LOVES Georgia. I run over to her if she comes in the room no matter what I am doing. She would always knock me over and bite on me but I loved it. I still love and still run over to her, though now she mostly ignores me. Once she got furry mad at Momma though when Momma accidentally stepped on my tail! Georgia came running into the kitchen where we were and glared at Momma and I rubbed my head all over Georgia for coming to my rescue as Momma apologized to me. Georgia gave her a big glare for some time and then she let Momma off the hook and left--but not before swatting me one!

Gemini a deux

Well, you they are making a fund raising calendar from cats in the blogsphere (but if you didn't, go to Grr, Midnight and Cocoa's) and we talked about it. Cheysuli had just released her own full calendar and was happy to loan a photo, though it's really not the same as a full calendar of her--and believe me it's not! I mean, I'm not being mean but Chey is a lot to take and you can't bundle her in one photo.

However, because of that, I get to choose photos to enter for the calendar! I decided to take a page from Latte and Kaze and say which photo?

I was quite the tiny kitten in the camo hat, but people tend to like it. It's on my catster page too! Then there is the one where I am snoozing, which Momma says is a nice one of me as I am older. Which do you like?

A Nice Visit

Last night I went over and snuggled with Mittens. She seems to be doing well and is furry glad to be home. I figured out how to bring my favorite quilt, and Momma wasn't pleased to find her blanket gone most of the evening! Still when she found out WHY I wanted it she was okay.

We hopes that Mittens likes her new diet and starts getting better!

Scoop The Tabloids

Kukka-Maria, the Feline Empress and Super Sexy Feline recently went to Thailand to adopt a child. In the past, Kukka-Maria has waxed philosophical about her inability to reproduce, which was not her choice (but who knows, it could be a good thing?). She was in and out of Thailand in record time, with a lovely Thai (Siamese) baby after meeting with the heads of state.

Kukka-Maria left amidst a spate of controversy involving preferential treatment. Most people have to wait months for a child and the Empress waltzed in and wined and dined with some officials (as only she can) and suddenly she's adopting a child.

Further rumors spread when she has left the child at home with brother Brach while she galavants off to the Super Sexy, Hyper Talented Feline Convention (that hosts only her). While brother Brach is known as the more down to earth of the two, it is scandalous that so soon after adopting, Kukka goes off and struts her stuff while leaving the child with only a surrogate.

Child rights groups are up in arms, claiming that the Empress has purchased the child as if it were a house.

"I did no such thing," Kukka-Maria stated when pressed. "I am merely acting the way any good mother cat would. I'm getting away from the damn creature as soon as I can! It can eat on it's own! It washes it's own #$%^^!" It uses a litter box and COVERS for heavens sake. What else would it need me for? Now leave me alone and go pick on Madonna!"

It's Georgia!

oh look! It's Georgia looking out the window! She is feeling real good now that she has medicine. Momma is very happy that this last bit of time seems like it is good for her.

Gemini's Friday

I didn't blog this morning. I have discovered that this time of year there is some nice sun that comes through the window in the bedroom (not the neat new window) until about noon. I nap there, just a little bit under the bed and out of the way until the sun moves beyond that area. I really like it. It's my favorite place to nap.

Momma was reading today and she was downstairs and had the fire place on. I laid in front of that. I think I will like this heat machine thingy that she calls a fireplace! It's warm. Then I cuddled on the chair she was sitting on with Georgia. She took pictures and said we were cute and sat on the floor for awhile so we could enjoy the chair.

It was a nice afternoon. I was going to put up a photo of Georgia in the window, but the computer went to sleep and requires a password to bring it back up and Momma can never remember what that password is, so we will have to wait until either the Almost Dad sends the photo to OUR computer or until another day when she can get in!

Oh and thank you e-furryone for the good suggestions on those invisible bugs in the bathtub! I think I have them under control, but you never know when they'll be back!

Bathtub Bugs!

I'm in such a hurry to blog. I have to run! There are invisible bugs in our bathtub and I have to catch them all! Can anyone give me pointers?! I keep pouncing and pouncing and pouncing and I just can't seem to get rid of them all!

I'm getting tired!

I can see what Momma does when she's not in the house!

I love the window. I looked out at Momma coming home and saw her talking to the neighbor! It was fun. I know she saw me cause she waved and I got scared and ran away!

Still it was furry nice. I like sitting in the window. Cheysuli doesn't much, but Georgia comes up there with me now that it's getting a bit chillier and she doesn't want to be out so much. It's perfect for her because it's the right height and she can sit there and not worry about being outside alone.

I am furry happy.

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

Finally! Me in My Window!

Oh look, I waited until late to go sit in the window so you can hardly see me. But there I am in my new window. Momma promised to make a nice little runner that I can sit on so that I"m not sitting right on the wood. We all like the window. I have photos of Georgia exploring it too!

Now I cna see out all over my yard.Momma has promised that next summer they will be planting things so that I'll have a nicer view and probably more birdies and squirrels. I love squirrels 'cause they have tails like me!

My Weekend.

I had a furry good weekend. I got used to our nice new big window. Momma keeps telling the Almost Dad to get the camera together so she can take photos of us be he still hasn't done it. So I STILL don't have photos! Maybe some day he'll want the camera for something and he will put it together...

Still I rested a lot. Momma was gone most of the day on Saturday to a seminar, so we cats had the run of the house. The Almost Dad was home though and he took a nap. We like to nap with Momma better. Then Momma brought home a friend from out of town and they went out AGAIN, but I was glad 'cause I don't like strangers.

Sunday the went looking at window coverings for the window at night so people can't see in. Chey and Georgia and I were left alone AGAIN. I was getting lonely. But we got to look out our big window. Even Georgia kind of likes that and decided she wanted to do that rather than go outside this afternoon!

Thursday, October 05, 2006

Our new window.

Momma is furry excited 'cause we have our new window installed tomorrow. The camera is still being charged and the Almost Dad has the battery in the charger so Momma might not be able to post pictures right away but you can bet we will be exploring it--me and Chey for sure and maybe even Georgia. She doesn't like new things so much, but I think it's 'cause they might move and then she'd loose her footing and fall again.

Georgia is doing better and can sometimes blink her eye now. Momma is very happy about that 'cause that means she won't have to do the eye drops so much. However, Gerogia doesn't like her prednisone even though it's supposed to be tuna flavored and she likes tuna!

I should go take a bath and then nap before the window gets here tomorrow!

Wednesday, October 04, 2006

Naught cat

I was a naughty kitty again. Georgia was walking over to me and I stuck my paw out and she fell. I didn't mean to! Momma is getting mad at me saying I'm a nasty little cat giving Georgia a hard time. She is surprised at me. But really, she wouldn't have fallen before!

The vet said her blood work was better than expected and she's started her prednisone which should help from some of the instability. It's something else to give her but Momma is hoping that it will help with the eye thing and that she'll be able to blink so we don't have to do so many of the drops.

I hope so too.

Our Blue Wall

Awhile ago, Momma and the Amost Dad painted the wall in the living room. Here Chey and I are laying in the sun. On Firday we are getting the new window and then maybe we will get a photo of it too! I can't wait.

Anyway, the windows that are there will be gone, which is ehy they didn't worry so much about the ledges and got blue paint on them. The ledges will be gone. The little windows will be gone too and there will be a big "bay window". I am not sure how we will get a whole bay in here though. I wonder if it will have fish?

Gemini's Adventures

I had a nice weekend visiting efurryone. It was okay 'cause Georgia was enjoying herself under the bed and Cheysuli was keeping an eye on her.

Abby, Boo and Ping are coming to visit today and they want to purr pile with Georgia. She kinda likes her time to herself, but maybe we can all purr pile close to her but not ON her. I'd like that sort of pile.

Georgia was about the same Sunday as she was Saturday, so at least she isn't getting worse. Momma hopes that she is stable until she hears more from the vet. There is medicine that should make her feel a bit better--now if only she will take it. She hates that sort of thing. I rolled at her and tried to headbutt her, but I pushed her over. I didn't mean to be mean to her--I just didn't know I couldn't do that. I will hafta be more careful.

Georgia Update

Gemini was nice enough to let me use the blog to let all the other kitties know what's going on with Georgia.

Through the day yesterday she seemed to become more unsteady and then this morning before the vet, I noticed her eyes were not dialated evenly. This is nearly ALWAYS a bad thing. I had one cat do that when she knocked her head really hard, but I SAW the accident and it went away pretty quickly, lasting only a few hours. Given the other symptoms were either pain in the rear legs or something neurologic, the uneven dialatation signalled something really bad.

It turns out that the vet is fairly certain that Georgia has a brain tumor. The prognosis is probably two to six months, depending upon the type and how aggressive it is. They are doing blood work and will decide upon steroids or antibiotics when they get the restults back. The care is palliative, of course.

These vets have just been wonderful here. They actually take me seriously about all my cats and seem very concerned on making the pet as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. At my vet from my other city, I have no doubt I would have been sent out with steroids to see if they helped and some fluids and no real hope or concern for me and my cat.

No one brought up euthanasia at this time, because Georgia is so obviously pretty content. She eats with an appetite and she drinks plenty of water. She is much more unsteady than she was 24 hours ago. Her attitude is good, though she seems confused by her body's strange responses, or lack thereof, when she wants to do something.

We have a split level home and later this afternoon we'll be out to get a baby gate so she can't fall down the stairs. We've moved the litter box upstairs for her too and I will feed her up here. If she seems to want downstairs, I can carry her.

While the two to six months is an estimate on her time, if it turns out to be a lymphoma, rather than the more common brain tumor, it could be faster. Of course, the quality of her life is certainly the biggest factor. The vet has hopes that if there is inflamation, the steroids should make it much easier for her to function but relieving that.

Right now Gemini and Chey are sleeping on the bed with her--though I have to get back to go read on the bed, as I think she will hurt herself if she tries to leap down, her legs are so unsteady. She definitely needed help to ON the bed.

Gemini seems perplexed about why Georgia isn't swatting her when she rolls on her side and head butts her--this was always a signal that they would play. Cheysuli seems much more aware of the seriousnes of the situation and has been surprisingly gracious through the last ordeal.

My other Siamese was that way also. I thought she hated my Iggy cat but when I had to leave him at the vet once, overnight, she couldn't be comforted. When he returned, she took a swat at him and turned tail and left! I suspect that if Georgia were to make a miraculous recovery, Chey would do the same--though I there seems to little reasonable hope that that will happen.

Chey and Gemini will keep the cat blogsphere updated on Georgia's progress and what's happening, as I don't think she'll be feeling up to blogging soon. It's hard enough for their big old paws to hit the right keys and she's having enough trouble just placing them to walk a semi straight line.

I like my carrier.

Oh Momma I want to go see the Meezer's Momma and purr at her so she feels better. Then I need to visit with the Calico Girls 'cause their Momma had the operation. Then I want to go join Kukka-Maria on the Amazing Race!

Oh and then can I go give Sanjee's Momma a kiss 'cause her suggestions are keeping Cheysuli so busy on her blog? Chey hasn't had any time to bite at my fur..

Oh, and this picture was BEFORE the house cleaning girl came. It's always this messy though.
Is that Cheysuli creeping up behind me?! ACK!

I had to Hide

Momma was working this morning and then the cleaning girl came in. She is furry young but she doesn't smell like my people so I hide.

Anyway she wasn't feeling well so she wanted Momma to pick up for her to clean! And then she wondered if she could just not clean this week--no charge of course, but this is the third time she's tried to get out of cleaning and Momma said no. We realize that with three of us kitties and the Almost Dad and Momma doesn't like to clean much that it gets pretty messy, but she does get paid to clean up! She can always charge us more if we are too messy for her.

Momma was not happy. She was going to work with Cheysuli on the new website and to edit photos for tomorrow but she had to clean up for the cleaning girl!

Then I didn't get a chance to blog. And now it's almost time to get out and play for the night! Oh well. I had a photo I wanted to upload to but Momma can't get into the Almost Dad's computer where they are, so we can't upload them.

It's just been a weird day so I think I will go nap until it's time to play when the sun is fully down and I've had some dinner.

Wednesday, September 27, 2006

Chey is tired

Oh I had to laugh. I didn't get to blog earlier 'cause Momma was making Cheysuli rewrite her whole website.. the site not just the blog. See Sanjee's Momma said that maybe the site would work better if Cheysuli wrote it and so Momma sat Cheysuli down to write.

Chey wasn't happy AT ALL. She did say she could sell cats to mice but she shouldn't HAVE to do that. Anyway I didn't think mice used computers so I don't know why she would want to sell cats to them.

So I had to wait until Chey just worked her little toes to the bone and Momma decided she could go take a nap. She is one grumpy kitty right now. I think it's funny. Thanks Sanjee's Momma. Now I can rest 'cause Chey is too tired to bit my fur...

Georgia

Momma is a bit worried about Georgia. She hasn't been herself lately. She's not sick exactly, but she does have a little feline acne under her chin. Momma says that's nothing to worry about but does indicate that her immune system might be slightly compromised. We put some H202 on it and that should help. Georgia didn't mind hardly at all.

She also needs a pedicure, but Momma hates to bother her when she's already feeling a little bit of a slump. It started when the weather got bad and she had to stay in the house all day. Actually she didn't have to stay but she wanted to. Then she seemed to be off her usual self. Momma says it's nothing to worry about but she worries.

Georgia even told me it's nothing to worry about but she'll get extra 'tention and special treats until Momma has something else to worry about.

A busy weekend

Momma's been wanting to paint the living room for awhile. The man decided that this weekend was a good time to do it, 'cause it's only a couple of more weeks until they get the new window where I can look out and around and that way they won't have to worry about getting paint on the trim. So anyway they moved furniture and painted.

Cheysuli supervised from the stairwell. Georgia took the opportunity to nap. I snoozed in the sun from the window as it was a furry nice day. I did help Cheysuli supervise but we didn't get into the paint.

At first Momma thought it was too bright but then after the second coat it got much darker and more the color she as thinking it would be. The man had worried that the really dark color she liked would have been too dark so if he doesn't like the color she will tell him it's his fault that they got the lighter color!

Then that night, they rearranged the furniture so it will show off the new window better. I guess I will be the center of attention when it's in and I sit there and look out huh? Oh, the bad part about the wall is that it's blue. It doesn't match me at all!

Cat karma

Cheysuli was saying that catpuncture was invented by Siamese. She said I probably knew when to take out Momma's needles last week 'cause I was probably a Siamese in my last life but I had bad karma and came back as a puffy cat instead of a Siamese. I feel sad.

Chey said that it's not so bad. At least I'm a cat. If I had been really really bad I would have come back as a dolphin or a dog! Imagine--ME a dog! And then she said that if I were really really really bad I could have come back as an elephant or as a bumble bee. My eyes got so big! Imagine me being an ELEPHANT! A big puffy ELEPHANT! Of course, Chey reminded me that if I were an elephant I probably wouldn't be so puffy.

Then she said if I had been just horrible I might come back as an ant or a spider. Oh how I love to kill spiders! I wouldn't have a furry long life as a spider.

And Cheysuli said when cats do the worse of things, but she wouldn't even explain to me the bad things cats had to do, then they came back as humans.

I said "NO! Momma is so nice to us. How could she be that bad?!"

Chey just shrugged and looked enigmatic.

"Can we purr for her to have better karma," I asked.

"Of course, Grasshopper," Cheysuli said, a hint of a feline smile hovering around her face as she did her best David Carradine impression. This was lost on me as I'm too young to remember David Carradine in Kung Fu.

"It seems like a big leap to hope that she can be a cat or a dog. I will purr that she will come back as a big old Cricket!"

Momma walked in and said, "A Cricket?! Thanks. At least you aren't praying I'll be a dung beetle in my next life."

"Oh Momma," I said, "Would you rather be a dung beetle?"

"No," she said. "I wouldn't rather be a dung beetle."

"Okay."

"You know, Gemini," she said, "A human teacher I had said cats are just lamas on vacation."

"Llamas?!" I said. "Do they take a vacation from spitting?"

"No Gemini, not llamas, lamas. Like the Dalai. You know, a spiritual master."

"Oh. So I could be a spiritual master?" I said.

"You could indeed be one, Sweet Little Puffy Cat."

"But Momma," I said, "I don't spit. So it's still a vacation from spitting."

Golfing

Oh the Almost Dad got some new golf clubs. It was a fun box and I had to explore. I like it that he likes to golf 'cause he's been putting in the house and I can help return the balls.

Cheysuli just lays between him and whatever he is using to mark the hole so he can't put. I like to watch the white balls role and then I got to check them out when he stops hitting them for a minute. I am a big help.

A quiet day

I hope that efurry thing is okay in the Big Piney Woods. I think I will go over there later on to check on Mittens and Patches and Precious and Mistrie Rose seeing their Momma is having surgery today.

My Momma is going to vote and I'm sure Cheysuli will try and vote as well. I can't wait to see what happens to her this time! It's raining again so maybe when I get home, Momma will have the fireplace on and I can snooze beside it!

Monday Morning Report

Oh so I had a furry nice weekend. I could have liked to have pulled more needles out, but that's okay. Momma INSISTS she knows better than I do.

I watched the Amazing Race. It wasn't as good as The Amazing Zeus though. I waited and waited for them to give Zeus a cameo seeing he visited Seattle. Cheysuli didn't think they would 'cause thought they would have wanted her as well and no one had called. I hoped that she was wrong. After all, Zeus brought them tons of fame! His show was so well done and I'm sure there are tens of people who didn't watch the race before who are now watching it because of him.

I was quite distressed to see that TWO people got eliminated from the race on the first round. It seems like it could be a short show. They can't just keep eliminating people and still have something to watch. Of course, perhaps they will bring in Zeus!

Catupuncture

Momma wasn't feeling well today so she gave herself an acupuncture treatment. She doesn't like to do that 'cause it's better if someone else inserts the needles, but she doesn't know anyone well enough here to come and give her a treatment just out of the blue. It was nice at the other place 'cause a lot of her good friends were people from acupuncture school who had settled in the same area and she could do that.

She first started putting them in and laid down 'cause she wanted to needle her tummy and Georgia came and laid on her legs. Then I laid down next to her. When she was done, Cheysuli laid on her chest. When it was almost time to take out the points, Georgia got up and left and I came over to pull them out with my teeth, 'cause I knew it was time to be done, but she stopped me. When she finally pulled them out, I left 'cause I am a big help pulling them out and she wouldn't let me!

Cheysuli left last. She had moved to Momma's legs when Georgia left. We all felt we gave her a good healing treatment and she thinks that it's too bad that many people wouldn't like it, 'cause 'catupuncture' would be sure to catch on.

Visiting

I was laying around looking bored because Momma was going off to market herself (I hope she isn't sold!) and I was staying home. The Clean Lady with the noisy machine was coming by and I was quite worried about this.

Then Miles invited Mittens, who was having a furry hard time having a new cat in the house (I know about THAT) and he invited her over and then invited lots of cats to come by. So I went over there.

Mittens got to smell some of the fur that Miss Trixie left and she was pleased about that. We took a furry nice nap together as well. Miles and Sammy are the nicest hosts and I had a furry good day after all! And Momma was even home when I got back! I'm glad I went visiting.

Changing Sheets

Oh it's my favorite day! It's laundry day for Momma's bed. I get to hide under the sheets as she tugs them around and attack the blanket and make it a challenge for her to re make the bed. I love that. It's my favorite day! I wish she would do it e furry day, but I doubt that she will. I don't think she has quite as much fun with it as I do!

Gemini speaks out on Cheysuli

Momma laughed at Chey. She thought that today was 'lection day here but it's next week but Cheysuli had already posted that on her blog. Chey got mad and bit her kneecap.

It wasn't furry nice, but that's Cheysuli. She always has to be boss and she hates it when people laugh at her (I KNOW). She can however be furry nice. I think there will be a Thursday 13 on the nice things Cheysuli does, but it might be a few weeks 'cause we will all have to brainstorm for a really long time.

You know, I was wondering yesterday why people weren't more like cats 'cause even though lots of cats don't like other cats, we mostly get a long and live and let live and I thought humans could learn from us. Then I remembered Cheysuli and she's furry much like a human. Maybe Siamese are closer to humans? I'm just not sure it's a good thing.

Odds and Ends.

Momma got the new blogroll thingy going. It's furry nice. I can see who has updated their blogs so that I can just go look there and not have to go and look at efurryone on the list, which is good 'cause it was taking a long time and now I have even MORE people on my list.

Blogger beta wouldn't let me comment so I couldn't go say hello to Luxor who is a new Oriental cat in town.

The Almost Dad planted some kitty grass for me a few weeks ago and now it's up and growing and so there is a big pot of grass growing in our living room now. I kind of like it. Georgia thinks it's funny and Cheysuli doesn't get it. Yes, her teeth are better. She still has to take Auntie Bot X twice daily but she had her last dose of painkiller this morning. I guess she'll be back to her usual mean self...

All three of us

This is a photo of all three of us in the kitchen. Momma rarely gets us all in one photo. Georgia is telling us that it's not quite time for dinner, which we are all waiting for. Chey doesn't look happy does she? She loves dinner. I am just walking over to Georgia 'cause she is my favoritest cat, even thougb I really like a lot of my blogging friends.

Momma said I am going to have a new blogroll soon so that I can update things easier. We'll see!

Chey is Home

Here I am exploring where Cheysuli was all day yesterday. I like the carrier when it smells like her. I hope I don't have to use it again!

She is home and doing well. Momma said it was more expensive 'cause they did major extractions and so now I really have to worry about the food. Momma said Cheysuli is going to have to do a lot of payperposts to make up for all the money we spent on her teeth!

Having a bad day.

Oh blogger is being furry slow and I can't comment becaues the computer keeps timing out. It's not a good day.

I got up on the bed this morning for my morning rub and Cheysuli was in MY SPOT! I was furry mad and almost left right then, but Momma started scratching my head for me and I had to stay a little closer to the Almost Dad than I like.

'Course I was vindicated 'cause later on Chey was put in her carrier (and I climbed on top of it!) and got to go to the vet to have her teeth cleaned. I wonder what will happen to blogger?!

Nappin Cat

It's supposed to be warm this weekend for Labor Day. I don't think I'm going to do any labor. Momma and the Almost Dad will be busy setting up her new acupuncture clinic. It will be all hers now, instead of sharing with another practitioner.

There are two naturopaths in the office and a massage therapist. Momma will have her own room again and she is furry happy about that.

I don't know if I will get to blog, so I am settling in for some good nappin' time. If anyone gets lonely and wants to joing me, that will be cool.

After the Vet

Cheysuli is fine. She just had to go in 'cause it was her annual exam and she got rabies (the vaccine, not the disease). Anyway, the V.E.T. said that her teeth were real bad and that she probably has a Meezer disease (well other cats get it but mostly Meezers) called LPG. She has to have her teeth cleaned next week. It will be furry expensive. I hope Momma can still afford good food for us!

Chey is just mad now.

I don't have to go!!!

I get to go back and nap now. Usually I do after blogging but I had to say it. Cheysuli does not get to go back and nap now.

She has to go to the V. E. T.

HE HE HE HE HE...

A New Window for Gemini

I have had news for awhile but then with all the sad stuff I didn't get to write about it.

Momma and the Almost Dad are getting us a fancy new window. They finished taking out all the roadies in front of the window so I can see way outside now. Then some man came to the house during my dinner time--but Momma made Cheysuli wait until I would come down and she called me very nicely to the kitchen when I was really hungry so I would come in and eat even though that other man was in the living room talking to the Almost Dad.

After he left, Momma said they were getting a "bay window" which I guess means that it will push out of the house and I can see on three sides outside. There will be screens on the two side windows so I can smell the air from two places. She said it will be a little like the green house window I like but bigger.

I am furry excited 'cause then it will be like being outside while I am safe inside!

A Long Day

Yesterday was a furry long day. Mittens came by for awhile in the morning cause I thought she would be furry sad and I didn't want her to just stew. Then we heard from Patches Lady that folks were going to teleport over to the Meezers to sit with Miles and Sammy and so we went over there and sat with them for awhile. Mittens napped on Trixie's blanket one last time.

Tonight there is a vigil for Miss Trixie in the Big Piney Woods at 6 PM PDT. I will try and go. Momma won't be home so I don't know if I will make it cause I don't tell time so well. Perhaps Cheysuli will help me remember. I know she wants to go to.

Monday, August 28, 2006

Sad to Hear

We are furry sad to hear that Miss Trixie has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are not sad for her, for she has joined her brothers. However, our hearts go out to those who are left behind--Miles, Sammy, Meezer's Mom (and Meezer dad, whom we don't usually hear from!).

Our songs will be sung for her so she knows that she is missed.

A Cat's Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray thee Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake
I pray thee Lord my soul to take.

God Bless Momma.
God Bless the Almost dad.
God Bless Georgia.
Umm... Yeah, Bless Cheysuli.

And please God, could you look out for Miss Trixie. She is getting older and her eyesight is failing, so could you keep Miles watchful so he can lead her to the places she wants to go? And could you make sure his Momma knows it so he can get some ham? And could you look out for the Meezer's Mom 'cause Momma says that it's furry hard to know a kitty is old and can't do the things she likes so much no more. Momma said you could maybe make sure that the time Trixie has left is good quality time.

And God, could you help Luna's Momma find her? She is probably furry scared in the woods.

And finally, I think, could you look after Patches' and Mittens' Momma when she has to have her surgery and make sure she can come home and be well really quickly. I would hate to be without my Momma and I bet the calico girls don't want to be without theirs either.

Thank you.

Oh and God, could you make sure that the cat blog world has more happy things so I don't have to pray so long.? It's hard for a little cat to stay awake this long before a nap...

More book stuff

Momma told me to say that she does read trashy books that are way more fun (though she likes mysteries not romances) but that the rules in the game SAID to use the first book you saw and we were at the desk. I was sitting on the HTML reference and that only had pictures, so we went to the one next to it.

The HTML book is furry good 'cause it sets me up the height I need to be to use the computer really well. She also always leaves it in a good spot for me. I don't know why that isn't a good book!

Thursday, August 24, 2006

Page 123.

What's on page 123

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 123

3. Find the fifth sentence

4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.

5. Don't you dare dig for that cool or intellectual book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

6. Tag whomever you want, or not.

Our Closest book that had sentences (the HTML reference just had pictures on page 123) was HTML for the World Wide Web. It says

"3. Type /> to complete the base tag.

Tips:
Target names are case sensitive. In addition, you should always enclose them in quotation marks."

Momma does not have furry good books around the desk...

Changes

Momma made some changes to my sidebar today. This way you can see the cool cats firstest and of course, Chey has to be listed at the top. I said I didn't really want her listed at the top cause she gets to do EVERYTHING but that's the way Momma said it would be. I should be at the top of her list of blogs in big letters too! But I'm not.

Other than that I had a good day yesterday. I stretched some cause I guess when we have the grand unveiling of the yoga video we will all be in Seattle for autographs for people selling it. They wanted to do New York, but Cheysuli wanted to start here and work our way around the country. She is working to make sure they stop in cities where we have blogging cat friends. I don't know that I will be on the whole tour but I will be here in Seattle.

The yoga video

Cheysuli's yoga video comes out soon. She's offering previews to get you all excited about it. Abby, Boo and Ping are all featured as they came to Cheysuli's free classes. I had to go and I was purty good but not as good as Abby!

Cheysuli says that anyone who didn't come, obviously needs the video to work out and she expects you all to rush out and buy it to keep your figures--or to get a figure in some cases.

I'm excited 'cause I'm sure it will be big and I'll be FAMOUS!

A Better View

Momma was furry busy this weekend. I had to watch and it was quite tiring. There was so much to do.

On Saturday she worked in the morning and then she came home and took some dirt, which she called "compost" (but it didn't look like a post to me) to the back yard. Then she took a hoe and was out there in a small area behind the big trees hoeing and stuff and spreading down the post thing (which really didn't look like a post to me at all by this time). Then she came in and she and the Almost Dad talked a bit and they had dinner. I didn't share but I had my own dinner later. It was much better.

Then Sunday, she and the Almost Dad got up and they went to the front and they started digging up some big plants that covered over the windows. They were taller than the Almost Dad even! I can't imagine. She called the "roadies" but there aren't any roads there--that's out a lot farther. Anyway they moved one in the morning and then dug a big hole in the area she had hoed up before and put the post stuff. Then they were gone most of the day and then they moved another one and then they were tired. I had a late dinner 'cause it took them so long to move that last one.

I can see all the way to the road (maybe that's why she called them roadies?) now but there is one more to go. She says that will have to wait until next week. I'm glad she's done for the week so I get more pets and I don't have to keep running from window to window to keep an eye on her!

Visitors are coming.

Momma is furry excited that her friend and the chihuahua are coming. I am not so sure. I didn't like it when Belle came to visit. I would hide under the dresser cause she couldn't get me there. Oh my.

She will be here tonight and then all day tomorrow, but she'll probably go in the car with Momma and her friend. She likes the car. That's a furry strange thing about chihuahuas. I know I am bigger than she is, but she is noisy and bouncy and just moves funny and I don't like it. I can't wait until she is gone and she isn't even here yet!

Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Special Days.

Well I think Momma is over the whole shave thing. I don't think she REALLY meant it. I think she was just worried that I would get to hot. She does think I need to have my behind trimmed so that icky stuff doesn't get stuck back there. I am a furry tidy cat though, so I don't know why she worries.

Congrats to lots of Cat bloggers on big milestones:

The calico girls for hitting 20,000 visits

Abby for her blogiversary

The Meezers are about to hit 10,000 visits!

I think I have a blogiversary coming up... Oh my! I missed it! It was August 11th that Momma started blogging about me! I took over just a few months ago cause she had lots of other stuff going on but I've been around OVER a year and I didn't even know it. Happy Belated Blogiversary to me!

Shaved!

Today, Momma threatened to shave off all my hair. She didn't.

But that's all I have to say about that...
