Cheysuli The Mystery Cat

OH OH! Momma's helping me come up with a song.

Sung to the Tune of "Macavity: The Mystery Cat" from CATS.

Cheysuli! Cheysuli's a mystery cat
She's called the Hidden Paw
For she's a master criminal who can defy the law
She's the bafflement of Scotland Yard
The Flying Squad's despair
For when they reach the scene of crime Cheysuli is not there!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
She's broken every human law
She breaks the law of gravity
Her powers of levitation would make a fakir stare
And when you reach the scene of crime Cheysuli is not there!

You may seek her in the basement
You may look up in the air
But I tell you once and once again
Cheysuli not there!

Cheysuli is a meezer cat
She's very tall and thin
You would know her if you saw her for her eyes are blue to the rim
Her brow is deeply lined in thought
Her head is highly domed
Her coat is shiney from a wash
Her whiskers always combed
She sways her head from side to side
With movements like a snake
And when you think she's half asleep
She's always wide awake!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
For she's a fiend in feline shape
A monster of depravity
You may meet her in a by-street
You may see her in the square
But when a crime's discovered then Cheysuli is not there!

She's outwardly respectable
I know she cheats at cards
And her footprints are not found in any files of Scotland Yard's

And when the larder's looted
Or the jewel cases rifled
Or when the milk is missing
Or another Peke's been stifled
Or the greenhouse glass is broken and the trellis past repair
There's the wonder of the thing:
Cheysuli is not there!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
There never was a cat of such deceitfulness and suavity
She always has an alibi and one or two to spare
Whatever time the deed took place, Cheysuli wasn't there!

And they say that all the cats whose wicked deeds are widely known
(I might mention Squilliam, Miles Meezer, Isis)
Are nothing more than agents for the cat who all the time
Just controls the operations
The Napoleon of Crime!

Cheysuli, Cheysuli, there's no one like Cheysuli
She's a fiend in feline shape
A monster of depravity
You may meet her in a by-street
You may see her in the square
But when a crime's discovered then Cheysuli not there!

Oh Momma, what a naughty, mean song you helped me write.. (giggles)

Wow! A really long song, but too bad we don't know what the tune is. We only know a few songs from "Cats" and yours isn't one of them!

Oh wow Gemini - what a wonderful song!

It's sort of more of a rhyme than a true tune. I hope this counts a song though!

I can see now Cheysuli will be needed if we should have to break Fat Eric out of prison. She seems very skilled! Great song!

Wow, that is some song. We couldn't sing along cuz we don't know what Macavity: The Mystery Cat sounds like. Momma only listens to country! So, yes, that is what us cats have to listen to also! But the words are greatest!!

Wow...With Chey being so dominant (in a good way, Cheysuli), I would not have guessed you would do a tribute to her!

Unless she intimidated you...

Furry good guys. This is the firstest one I saw that used something from Cats.

The Crew says they don't know the tune but I do. Mum has the song on a CD of Sarah Brightman. She did an OK job of singing it to me.
